Just finished Christmas lunch, went to the loo and Mac me back into the living room to find MIL has made herself a nice bed on the sofa and gone to sleep. Her actual bed is about 10 steps away. AIBU to put Led Zeppelin on the hifi rather than tiptoeing round? I can almost forgive falling asleep on the sofa accidentally, although it irritates me and I would never do it, but deliberately settling down for a nap is just entitled. There are six other people in the house who can’t now socialise normally in the living room.

Turn up Genesis full blast. Although it does depend what album you're listening to as to what the effect on her will be.

Hifi

This sounds like something my 6'3" ex brother in law did years ago. Went to sleep stretched on the sofa so we all had to sit on dining chairs in the living room. Why nobody woke him and told him to go to bed is beyond me.

dp has just woke up from a snooze on sofa full of turkey dinner so i thought it would happen up early for work so not surprising i just sat on here and let him get on with it oh yes and one dog asleep in bed and one asleep on me too

Album is fine feellikeanalian, but I’m obviously going to call it an LP to annoy people. It’s And Then There Were Three, so quite gentle. Full blast makes your ears bleed so I won’t go that far. I don’t really care that people think hifi is pretentious, of course it is, hifi is inherently pretentious, at least I don’t have solid silver speaker cables or a listening chair.

Haha, half my family would be asleep if they were here right now, but the other half wouldn't be changing our behaviour because of it - in fact, when my son was tiny, he would use their bodies as balance challenges, and walk on them (something many found very relaxing).
