To ask what you have for Christmas Day breakfast

I would have bucks fizz followed by Pina coladas but we have to drive and visit.

So, we are having m&s blini's, soft whipped cheese, smoked salmon, caviar and prawns.

What's on your menu?

Full Irish. Minus the beans. Hate beans.

Oratorio · 24/12/2018 16:36

I’ve a friend coming over and we will have croissants and Prosecco before she goes off to her family and I start the cooking. So not too much Prosecco 😂

Eloisedublin123 · 24/12/2018 16:37

Full fry 🤓

easyandy101 · 24/12/2018 16:37

What are Christmas tree crumpets?

BestIsWest · 24/12/2018 16:39

Cheerios, cup of tea, whatever chocolate is in my stocking.

CloserIAm2Fine · 24/12/2018 16:40

easyandy crumpets in the shape of Christmas trees, from Asda. I’ve not had them before and strongly suspect them to be an over rated novelty but that’s obligatory at Christmas!

Lazybonita · 24/12/2018 16:41

We have pancakes, bacon and maple syrup with fruit juice and coffee. Followed by Bellinis and presents.

Shoppingwithmother · 24/12/2018 16:43

Shreddies

BumDisease · 24/12/2018 16:43

Usually something greasy because I'll be hanging tomorrow.

And Christmas Dinner (not lunch because I've never had it at lunchtime!) will usually be after 6pm so I'll be starving again.

CatLadyToddlerMother · 24/12/2018 16:43

I've just made the pancake batter we'll have those with honey and/or chocolate sauce, it's only once a year afterall!

CatnissEverdene · 24/12/2018 16:44

We have danish pastries/croissants and lots of bucks fizz/coffee.

Then I forget I haven't put the turkey in and have to step away from the alcohol Grin. It's a tradition.

Stephisaur · 24/12/2018 16:45

Usually, just toast.

Tomorrow, however, we’re having sausages, bacon, eggs, beans and hash browns because we’ll be eating our roast as an evening meal not lunch :)

notacooldad · 24/12/2018 16:46

Nothing.
It's the only day of the year I skip breakfast.

cheesenpickles · 24/12/2018 16:47

In an ideal world it would be smoked salmon, cream cheese and bagels with Bucks Fizz, however....
Father-in-Law is a majorly fussy eater, he is lovely but won't even touch pasta or pizza because it's too exotic.
DH will thankfully go along with anything.
Eldest is in the fussy stage, it's tough and go with Xmas dinner tomorrow.
Youngest eats anything thank god.

So tomorrow, cooked to order will be:
Smoked salmon, cream cheese, bagels, good coffee from beans (I will be Caribbean-ing mine up with some rum), bacon sandwiches for this who want them, sourdough crumpets and fancy jam for those who want them, orange juice etc.

Gawd what I would give for a family who ate fish and drank champers sometimes. GrinConfusedWineGin

elliejjtiny · 24/12/2018 16:50

Normal breakfast so toast/cereal although quite often I am just scoffing a cereal bar while doing several other things at the same time.

BumDisease · 24/12/2018 16:51

I didn't realise supping Champagne on Christmas morning was a thing!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 24/12/2018 16:51

Babycham and Matchmakers

LadyOfTheCanyon · 24/12/2018 16:55

Buck's Fizz or Kir Royales with smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels.

Ethel36 · 24/12/2018 16:55

Croissants, pain au chocolat, oven baked pasties and bucks fiz/orange juice/filter coffee. Cannot wait for breakfast tomorrow!

cheesenpickles · 24/12/2018 16:57

@BumDisease it's practically law! Christmas and airports are the two times you can breakfast drink without guilt or judgment.

ChestyNut · 24/12/2018 16:57

Cup of tea and mixture of shortbread and quality street Xmas Grin

XiCi · 24/12/2018 16:57

I didn't realise supping Champagne on Christmas morning was a thing Grin I thought everyone supped champagne on Xmas morning!

We're having sausage or bacon barms with coffee / freshly squeezed orange juice. I'll be on the champagne as soon as we've visited the in laws. Roll on 11am!

Oysterbabe · 24/12/2018 16:58

Smoked salmon bagels and bucks fizz.

Member745520 · 24/12/2018 16:58

Large bowl of chopped fresh fruit topped with a large dollop of Greek yogurt Xmas Smile And 'proper' coffee.

PedunculatedPolp · 24/12/2018 16:58
