My friends have ruined Christmas... it's a pattern of behaviour.

Aibu? It's our first Christmas as a family. I've never really celebrated before as I was on my own for a long time. I've recently got married to a wonderful woman and we now have a small family.

So not knowing what to do, I've done some research, I've decorated the house, we've chosen a tree, made baubles and so on. Just as I'm settling down to tell the children the Xmas story, my friends have charged into the house, laden with tree, food and presents and completely taken over.

They're dancing, loud music. The house is shaking! They keep taking over and to top it all off, they're so careless they've nearly set fire to me and the house!

Needless to say I've thrown them all out but now my wife if making out that I'm the ogre because they're our friends. I'm sick of her taking their side all the time.

Oh dear. Not a good start to Christmas upsetting your friends and your wife.

PoppinCookin · 24/12/2018 15:25

Oh ha ha....not

ItsJustASimpleLine · 24/12/2018 15:25

Shrek

Ellisandra · 24/12/2018 15:26

Bizarre.
More detail needed.
How could your acquisition of a wife be that recent if you already have multiple children at least one of whom is old enough to be The Xmas Story to? Hmm Are they your children?

How have you got more than one child but only this year have done research to decide you need a tree?

No idea if her friends are arseholes that ruined Xmas, or perfectly normal people (though bit weird to bring a tree?!) that your wife wants around her husband who is not being perfectly normal.

More detail needed!

Ellisandra · 24/12/2018 15:27

Oh, right - ogre / Shrek Hmm
I don’t like these types of threads so I’ll bow out.

SantasBassoon · 24/12/2018 15:27

Is this the plot of a film? I obviously don't get the references.

Avegemitesandwich · 24/12/2018 15:28

Shrek? Ogre?

Huh?

SantasBassoon · 24/12/2018 15:29
