Walked up to the till to pay in a busy crowded cafe. Man at the till waiting to be seated took his jacket off without looking to see if there was anyone else.around him. Removed it in the most overdramatic manspreading way imaginable and walloped me hard in the ear. Its still throbbing an hour later.

YANBU - men (NAMALT) feel entitled to space and get annoyed when other people (esp women) happen to be in that space.

I would have a lot more sympathy for the 'it was an accident' viewpoint if he'd seemed sorry and apologetic (instead of the annoyed 'sorry' you actually got).

It reminds me of when you are walking down the street when it’s raining and you have keep making evasive maneuvres to avoid being poked in the eye with other people’s umbrellas.

imagine if the DC had flung their arms about and knocked the chutneys off the shelf

This has made me laugh a lot. I'm not sure why though. Just it's total randomness.

I hope the throbbing subsided soon Thanks

It was an accident. Yes, he should have been more aware of his surroundings, but sometimes things like this can happen.

Hope your ear stops hurting soon.
