To think he should have bloody looked??

Walked up to the till to pay in a busy crowded cafe. Man at the till waiting to be seated took his jacket off without looking to see if there was anyone else.around him. Removed it in the most overdramatic manspreading way imaginable and walloped me hard in the ear. Its still throbbing an hour later.

Oh god this thread is so frustrating. What the actual fuck is all this 'woman' stuff??

Someone accidentally hit and hurt the OP whilst putting their coat on.

The OP is understandably annoyed as it made her sore.

The End

Not every single thing in this world has to do with being male or bloody female!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 22/12/2018 17:17

Dog with a bone? Nah. I'm just bored. Sat waiting for DS to finish his club.

Hope you feel better soon OP Wine

ForgotTheBastardElfAgain · 22/12/2018 17:17

I lost sympathy at manspreading to be honest. Until then I cared.

EatShitBoswell · 22/12/2018 17:18

OP the fact that he didn't properly apologise and sneered at you makes him a massive shit (as opposed to just clumsy and ignorant) and you definitely wouldn't be unreasonable even if you were feeling angry

CmdrIvanova · 22/12/2018 17:19

Your sympathy is easily lost isn't it

A woman pushed into me today which caused me to stumble and stand on another woman's toe, very lightly, only one of my feet for a milli second, I said sorry she went "Owww!" very loudly and angrily. I thought jeez what a baby. Yesterday someone bashed their trolley into my hip bone. It hurt, I just kept walking. These things happen, no big deal.

CmdrIvanova · 22/12/2018 17:21

(If we're going to be so picky and offended I could point out that the word bastard stigmatises single mothers and their children, and to certain friends of mine is deeply offensive, whereas manspreading is an actual Thing)

OP posts:
EatShitBoswell · 22/12/2018 17:23

Worral I'm assuming the 'woman' comments are in response to the people to people saying things like "I gave her a cuddle and told her to be more aware of her surroundings"

CmdrIvanova · 22/12/2018 17:23

dayswithaY you need to wake up a bit. That 'baby' might have nerve damage/arthritis in their toes, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, or any other number of conditions where you plonking the weight of an adult human onto them could cause them intense pain or damage.

How long has he been eating it? Grin

WorraLiberty · 22/12/2018 17:28

EatShit it was aimed at this comment and other similar sarcastic ones....

"OP you seem to have forgotten your place in the world. As a woman, you should have apologised to the poor man, just going about his important day, shuffled away, forgotten about his actions and cheerfully blamed yourself for being so stupid."

CmdrIvanova · 22/12/2018 17:28

I'll eat the club. Yum. Is the chocolate still decent on them? Haven't had one in years. They were Big Treat Biscuits back in the day.

veggiepigsinpastryblankets · 22/12/2018 17:29

Yes he should have looked. No you are not being unreasonable to post about some idiot flailing his limbs all over the place and then sneering at you. WHY ARE PEOPLE ARGUING ABOUT THIS?

dayswithaY · 22/12/2018 17:29

Fully awake thanks. She could have just been a miserable cow in a packed supermarket who wanted to take her frustration out on a stranger who had the good grace to apologise after an minor collision. But your version is more exciting so go with that if you like.

WorraLiberty · 22/12/2018 17:31

"Flailing his limbs all over the place" Grin Grin

By the end of this thread he'll have been carrying a metal baseball bat

WhyDontYouComeOnOver · 22/12/2018 17:33

These things happen, no big deal

Thing is though, to someone like me who is disabled with chronic pain, something like this could cause me to be bedridden for weeks. So it is a big deal for some of us and people should damn well look what they're doing.

CmdrIvanova · 22/12/2018 17:33

We'll never know, will we? But I'm not sure how saying Ow after someone hurts you is taking your frustration out on someone

OP posts:
CmdrIvanova · 22/12/2018 17:35

If he had swung a metal baseball bat it would have smashed up hundreds of pounds worth of stock (naice deli cafe), but more importantly would have been on the front page of the local paper for weeks. Nothing like that ever happens round here.

Perhaps he has a metal thingy in his elbow from an old injury, and that's why it hurt so much?

I don't think there will ever be an end to this thread.

MixedMaritalArts · 22/12/2018 17:40

My St Vitas dance may have made my foot twitch to the back of his knee scant apology too/ or overkill with sweetness I can’t decide !

ThatssomebadhatHarry · 22/12/2018 17:43

Why were you standing so close to him? Less than arms length is personal space.

WorraLiberty · 22/12/2018 17:43

Perhaps he thought the OP was going to take the last of the piss covered Mint Imperials off the counter, so his Ninja knock-out technique sprang into action Xmas Grin

ALongHardWinter · 22/12/2018 17:44

This puts me in mind of the scarf flickers that I encounter from time to time. They seem completely unaware of anyone behind them, and flick their scarf back over their shoulder, flicking me straight in the eye. Ouch.
I also remember an incident that happened about 10 years ago involving my son-in-law. We'd gone to a wildlife park, and after parking the car,we all got out. Looking back into the car,I saw what I thought was my purse on the back seat, fallen out of my handbag. I ducked my head to look in the window for a better look (and realised that it was my glasses case, not my purse) and stood back up just in time for my son-in-law to punch me in the side of the head, putting his jacket on. It was so hard that I staggered sideways with the force of it. His reaction? Unbelievably,he said 1) that I should look what I was doing and 2) that I'd hurt his hand! Shock. My DD had a right go at him! It certainly set the scene for a not very enjoyable day out.

Grace212 · 22/12/2018 17:45

OP, I hear you and I cba to NAMALT any more! it is very annoying.

0lapislazuli · 22/12/2018 17:47

Well done to you for not getting angry. Inconsiderate people always piss me off. I too have been hit before by someone taking their coat off. I definitely pointed it out to them and told them to be more careful. They are to blame, not you.

Can’t believe anyone would tell their daughter to be more aware of her surroundings when someone else hits her in the face. Unless she ran into them, the blame lies with the other person.
