Just that really friend horrified I’m not going to wrap my stocking fillers. She even wraps up the chocolate coins .

Never wrapped, never will. Life's too short.

ladybee28 · 22/12/2018 16:16

I LOVE wrapping things.
I would wrap the turkey if I had the chance.
DP worries he'll wake up one morning inside stripy paper.

Wrap EVERYTHING. The gifts inside the stocking... sod it, wrap the stocking whole too Grin

flameycakes · 22/12/2018 16:29

I wasn't going too, but think I will now, this is the first year I've gotten all my pressies wrapped before last thing Christmas Eve, getting organised in my old age lol x

drspouse · 22/12/2018 16:31

life is too short to wrap stocking fillers. I can barely find time to wrap their big presents!
This.
DD is getting a bow on her massive box of Lego. I'm not wrapping that.

EggysMom · 22/12/2018 16:32

I grew up with wrapped stocking presents - my stocking was a very 70's "modern" plastic affair, slightly see-through, so unwrapped presents would have spoiled any guessing.

So DS now gets wrapped stocking presents. As does DH, DBIL and myself ...

LaPufalina · 22/12/2018 19:59

Wrapped here! Didn't know it was a thing not to wrap, I can see the logic but also love the feel of paper through the stocking... this is my 40th Christmas and I'm still having a stocking, my mum said she'd do one until I had my own kids, I waited until I was 37 for my first DC and she didn't stop after all Grin

NeedMoreSleepOrSugar · 22/12/2018 20:12

I wrap in tissue. Actually, I bought duplicate stockings, so they're actually already wrapped and ready to go (with the exception of the fruit), because I'm not sure I'd have time to do it on Christmas eve - they love unwrapping the surprises, and I love watching it!

Processedpea · 22/12/2018 20:15

have never wrapped and won't start now, i thought it was so the kids can have presents but not wake everyone up with the unwrapping noise Grin

PersonaNonGarter · 22/12/2018 20:57

Wrapped - and stockings for adults. Absolutely my favourite bit of the day.

AllYeFaithful · 22/12/2018 20:59

Tissue paper sounds like a nice compromise.

I’ve akways wrapped sticking gifts though, bar sweets & a satsuma at the bottom. It makes it so much more exciting for any age.

Armi · 22/12/2018 20:59

Good lord. Unwrapped. There’s enough to do.

Deadringer · 22/12/2018 21:02

We wrap the big gifts and put them under the tree, from us. Santa fills the stocking with unwrapped gifts. My dc dip rather than tip.

Kittykatmacbill · 22/12/2018 21:19

Wrapped!

Green paper for dd1, red for dd2 and last years scraps for dh!
I wrapped everything on viewing of the empire strikes back and a episode of Brooklyn 99...
(Don’t wrap food though!)

CaptainCarp · 22/12/2018 21:42

Wrapped! We had sacks not stockings growing & stretching to hear the crinkle at the bottom of the bed of wrapped presents was the best start to Xmas morning.
Also we'd compare presents before we were allowed to go into our parents room & unwrap.

Platypusfattypus · 22/12/2018 21:44

Not wrapped here. They have wrapped Santa presents in the sack then a stocking full of little bits and pieces. The stocking is their favourite bit

PerverseConverse · 22/12/2018 21:53

Edible things unwrapped but anything else wrapped. Apart from the teddy at the top. That's just the way FC does it 🤷🏼‍♀️

PerverseConverse · 22/12/2018 21:55

Things are taken out one by one here. No tipping out-what kind of Neanderthal tips stuff out??

Veryflummoxed · 23/12/2018 00:47

We wrap, not the edibles and the present that sticks out the top but everything else. Just the way my parents did it for us, and I suspect that's true for most of us. I do some in paper bags with a label, some scrunched in tissue with a label holding it together and some in wrapping paper. Very rough wrapping. Rugby socks. They take the empty one to bed and I swap for the filled one once they're asleep. The last couple of years I've got into the habit of packing a couple of days before so mine no longer get the satsuma which is a bit sad but as I've done twelve this year (all packed and ready to go) I wasn't going to get it done on Christmas Eve. I love stockings, creeping around delivering them, remembering the ones I had as a child. It's the best bit.

Honeyroar · 23/12/2018 01:00

No!

They were never wrapped as a child for me and I loved my stocking. We just dipped our hand in and took out a present. I do the same for us nowadays. Big presents get wrapped and left on the hearth, because they're visible. Even our stockings go downstairs. I was always far too much of a light sleeper, still am!

Furiousatlife25 · 23/12/2018 03:28

No after just finishing the wrapping I shoved things that weren’t sticking fillers in the stockings to because I’ve given up
I also threw a barbie Chelsea train unwrapped at the back of the tree 😂
