Just that really friend horrified I’m not going to wrap my stocking fillers. She even wraps up the chocolate coins .

I didn't used to wrap the santa presents my parents didn't so I didn't but my youngest loves unwrapping (I blame YouTube) and wrote to santa requesting everything to be wrapped lol

Torsz · 20/12/2018 08:22

We had tangerines and chocolate coins but never sugar mice - are they the pink/white chocolate mice you get in pick and mix, or are they something different?

Wateringhole · 20/12/2018 08:23

We always have had ours wrapped. My sister and I open them together and find the same shaped presents to open at the same time. We are 28 and 31 respectively Blush

Dulra · 20/12/2018 08:24

Shock horror I don't even do stocking fillers Shock I must be VVU.

I have santa sacks filled with all their santa presents (not wrapped) and presents to kids from me and dh wrapped and under tree.

The poor forests with all this unnecessary wrapping going on!

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 20/12/2018 08:26

That’s what my dcs do Watering

It’s very sweet.

minisoksmakehardwork · 20/12/2018 08:26

Nope. Only the main Santa present gets wrapped. Everything else is stuffed in.

I understand the whole 'but then it doesn't last' but tbh mine want to use or play with what they've got anyway.

Dulra · 20/12/2018 08:27

ps what are sugar mice? I am Irish so maybe a UK tradition?

cloudtree · 20/12/2018 08:28

They're not chocolate. They're made with sugar paste. You only tend to see them at Christmas, typically in bakeries (as a result of this thread I have just bought a mould!)

IPromiseIWontBeNaughty · 20/12/2018 08:28

Although my dcs gets sacks not stockings. They get one or 2 presents from me & dh & that goes under the tree. They are the main presents. The rest are from Father Christmas - pyjamas, books, games.

Torsz · 20/12/2018 08:29

@cloudtree ooh interesting ty, I seem to have totally missed these! Will have to keep an eye out ☺️

cloudtree · 20/12/2018 08:29

Sugar mice in Christmas stockings wtf

WereYouHareWhenIWasFox · 20/12/2018 08:34

How many times?
Tissue paper, tie the ends. Everyone else are massive selfish twats. I do hope that helps bring this to an end?

SoftBlocks · 20/12/2018 08:37

Wrap except chocolate coins, clementine, dried mango etc.

BlueJava · 20/12/2018 08:44

I wrap up most things for their stockings - there is no suspense otherwise! Any sweets or chocolate I just put in though, no wrapping.

2isabella2 · 20/12/2018 08:51

Wrapped and my children take it in turns to open a present. We all love it. I wrap the coins too!

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 20/12/2018 09:01

I wrap half the stuff, anything that costs more than £2 really, am the snacks and tiny things like scented erasers go in unwrapped.

ittooshallpass · 20/12/2018 09:20

As a child no presents were wrapped at all and we didn't get a stocking either.

As an adult I wrap everything within an inch of its life.

Marmite27 · 20/12/2018 12:36

Thank you to whoever mentioned sweet shop bags, for stockings I had a load left over from party bags and they made short term work of the wrapping compared to my usual tissue paper!

To think the stocking is the wrapping ...
AGHHHH · 20/12/2018 12:37

takes a lot of the magic away.

It never did for me

Stocking presents are generally shit anywayl

lau888 · 20/12/2018 22:39

Everything must be wrapped. Except for things like chocolate coins and a chocolate orange. x

Notrusthere · 20/12/2018 22:42

Of course you wrap the stocking presents! What fresh insanity is this?!

pinkshowerpuff · 20/12/2018 22:48

The stocking is the wrapping in our house. We all sit together in mum and dad's bed and reach into our stockings one by one. No tipping.

MutedUser · 20/12/2018 22:58

Marmite that is genius
