How royal is this?

Not only has a grandson married an American actress but, according to the DM, via 'palace sources', she is 'ostentatiously cradling her bump and wearing dark nail varnish which the Queen hates'. So outrageous is this that the photograph of this has been 'withdrawn', whatever that means, although its in the DM. The dead hand of the RF is at it again. Leave her alone.

I know pink, and I shouldnt be spreading this rubbish, but poor woman. Theres nothing she can do that will make her 'acceptable' to the creepy people who seem to hang around the RF for the sole purpose of undermining anyone unfortunate enough to have the temerity to marry in. To what purpose I don't know. Horrible.

I would hate to be married to a Royal. They just can’t get out of the spotlight. Whatever they do is analysed to a ridiculous degree.

I've heard that 'the queen hates nail varnish apart from palest pink' thing before.

I can see why MM (or indeed anyone) would be annoyed that some 90 year old woman gets to dictate what colour she paints her own nails.

I'm a similar complexion to MM and pale pink nail varnish doesn't suit my skin tone at all.

My gran hates any nail varnish besides palest pink too (red = prostitute, ovvo), but she grudingingly accepts us anyway, and luckily there is no national press lurking to report gleefully on it.

I agree, it's not even the royal family making a meal of this, it's these weird self-appointed arbiters of 'proper' royal etiquette. With a dirty little undertone of middle-england snobbery and racism.

The cradling the bump glitzy gorgeous black and white photo was never going to be well received among the stuff bags was it.
The huntin' and shootin' brigade will be making voodoo dolls of her as we speak I also suspect

Considering the awful things the royals have got up to in their time, I think it's a bit much for anyone to mind Meghan's nail varnish.

I saw the nail varnish and I thought it was the colour of red wine, I noticed it specifically because its the same as mine.

Well the she witch is at it again. Apparently Harry won't be off shooting animals for fun because Meghan likes animals, obke ts to hunting and refuses to wear fur. The papers manage to make the last line sound like she's refusing to wear knickers fgs!! Apparently the boys like to bond over hunting and he didn't go last year either so she's driving a wedge between him, his Bro and their bloodsport fun!
Kate just accepts it and it's possible George will go hang with the hunting crew this year but not Harry, he's at home doing as he's bid by his evil wife who doesn't want him to kill for fun

I've heard the nail varnish thing before years ago but I don't agree with it. I'm trying to remember why she hates anything other than nude, I think it was because it's seen as cheap.

MM is never going to win and I do feel sorry for her. Every little thing she does is being jumped on.

She can't win, can she, poor lass? Dark nail varnish, strapless/one shoulder gowns, cradling her bump, wearing trousers? How very dare she!?
They have short memories. Catherine, Diana and Eugenie have been photographed wearing dark nail polish. Photos of Catherine and Diana cradling their bumps. Photos of the Queen, Princess Margaret, Diana and Catherine wearing strapless/one shoulder gowns. And even a few of the Queen wearing trousers, and not just when she's riding, either.
lt's petty and pathetic what they'll do to try to sell their scurrilous rags.

I can't remember any comment in the press when the Cambridges married about whether Wills got on with Kate's siblings' partners. There's so much pressure for women to integrate into the guy's family that just does not cut both ways.

It would be absolutely fine if you were a bloke. No one gives a crap about that bloke who married Princess Eugenie. He can wear what he likes, have whatever opinions he likes, and no one is trying to dig up dirt on his family.

The Daily Mail is trash. They see Meghan as a ghastly upstart, mixed heritage to boot.

I'm sure the Q has better things to think about than her granddaughter-in-law's nails. Her husband's health, Brexit, her government in disarray with no credible opposition - for a start.

Carole Middleton was vilified for being cabin crew from mining stock but Kate toed the line and looked decorative and Anglo-Saxon, so all was well as far as the Fail was concerned. It's an appalling rag.
