No lectures about 'just dont drink' please! I rarely do but it was my work Christmas party last night and free booze and well, I'm feeling very tender.

Need to be at a friend's party by 2pm, what will help?

Bacon roll and full fat Coke. Nothing works better. Go go Go!

Suomynona · 16/12/2018 09:51

A rustlers cheeseburger and a Lucozade sports drink. Miraculous.

Sinead100 · 16/12/2018 09:51

A can of full fat Coke for instant energy - then some kind of toast and eggs to soak it all up!

ButDoYouAvocado · 16/12/2018 09:52

It's all about hydration. Obviously water is important but a bit of salt and sugar will speed it up. My pharmacist used to recommend a quarter teaspoon of salt disolved in a can of coke. I never tried it because it sounds awful!

And obviously headache tablets

Bottomplasters · 16/12/2018 09:52

Hair of the dog!

DrinkSangriaInThePark · 16/12/2018 09:53

Nurofen plus. You'll be right as rain within 30 mins

Lucozade sport drink and something greasy with carbs

Verbena87 · 16/12/2018 09:53

Take a big bottle of water with you and go for a run in the sunshine. First 2 miles feel like death but after that it starts to lift and after 5 you’ll feel brand new. Then home for a hot shower and a fry up. It honestly does work.

ethelfleda · 16/12/2018 09:54

Definitely lucozade sport! The flat one that is... not the fizzy one.
If non available, I find that strawberry ribena works too.

ChocolateTearDrops · 16/12/2018 09:54

Can of full fat coke, cup of coffee and a walk. Fresh air, sugar and caffeine will perk you up.

DragonMamma · 16/12/2018 09:56

I find Coke makes me feel worse.

Ice lollies or Slush Puppies are great for quenching your thirst and getting you hydrated again.

Another vote for some kind of eggs for breakfast - I heard the protein helps with breaking down the alcohol (although appreciate that could be a pile of BS)

Whatififall · 16/12/2018 09:57

Dioralyte. Berocca. A banana and lucozade sport.

lalaloopyhead · 16/12/2018 09:59

Coke, ready salted crisps and some painkillers for me. Or if really bad pain killers, cup of tea and sleep!

itscalledwineflu · 16/12/2018 10:05

This was me last week I was so ill . I found that salt & vinegar crisps and a coke helped . Don't have paracetamol if your feeling queasy it will make you feel worse as I know . I googled after that paracetamol can upset your tummy if feel sick .

TheGlitterFairy · 16/12/2018 10:06

Coke and a maccy d’s!

InDubiousBattle · 16/12/2018 10:06

Two paracetamol, full fat iron bru, go back to bed for an hour. When you wake up have some ibuprofen and a bacon butty. You'll be able to have more paracetamol at 2!

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 16/12/2018 10:09

Sugar - sugary tea and couple of slices of hot buttered white toast. Salt & vinegar crisps throughout the day.

ChippyMinton · 16/12/2018 10:09

Paracetamol, toast and honey, large mug of sweet tea and s much water as you can stomach. It’s dehydration.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 16/12/2018 10:09

Oh and loads and loads of water,.

Totorosfluffytummy · 16/12/2018 10:11
