To think this is weird?

It's something like 0 degrees outside, snowing, cold inside and to think going 'for a walk' in this weather is crazy behaviour? As a way of 'having time to self' or 'to calm' or whatever the reason?

Would you?

I did earlier... it’s f£&king freezing though

babysharkah · 15/12/2018 20:12

I love a walk in the snow when it's coming down.

Is there some massive back story?

Huntawaymama · 15/12/2018 20:13

In the dark?

In the day time it's my perfect kind of walk, wrap up and go

Jackshouse · 15/12/2018 20:13

I love a walk in the snow. Here is high winds and sheets of rain. I would think it would be odd to walk in that. But different strokes for different folks.

PositivelyPERF · 15/12/2018 20:14

Oh that’s the best time. Before the snow freezes or turns to mush. I had the most amazing walk in the local park, last year, through the pure white, undisturbed snow. It was like a Christmas film.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 15/12/2018 20:15

I would. I have an amazing warm coat. With gloves, scarf, hat and my furry boots, I'm all set.

BumDisease · 15/12/2018 20:15

I love going out for a walk when it's freezing!

Snowwontbelong · 15/12/2018 20:16

Every year my entire childhood, the first snowfall dm woke me up and we went sledging.
Regardless of the hour.
Shock

I've just been out to do a Pokémon Go raid. Was out for 10 minutes and hated every second.

ItchySeveredFoot · 15/12/2018 20:19

Priorities SneakyGremlin Grin. Get anything good?

GertrudeCB · 15/12/2018 20:19

Perfectly normal to me. But then again I do have a dog.

bringbackthestripes · 15/12/2018 20:24

Not crazy. Hat, scarf, gloves and a walk around the frosty streets looking at all the Christmas lights followed by a hot chocolate when you get in. Very grounding. Used to walk with DC regularly to see people’s christmas lights, now teenager no longer interested, us adults still love a chilly walk.

Canysayifso · 15/12/2018 20:25

But it's not actual snow.. more like sleet / heavy rain and it's windy as anything.

Bit of a back story being; a grumpy bottom who has drank a little too much alcohol but to go out in that for an hour so far.. could have just gone to a different part of the house? Shock

There's no such thing as the wrong weather, only the wrong clothes . that said, I've not been out today.

SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh · 15/12/2018 20:26

@ItchySeveredFoot my first Lugia raid and I didn't catch it Xmas Sad

Bestseller · 15/12/2018 20:28

In love a walk in inclement weather provided dressed appropriately and a walk is definitely a good thing for the head but I'm not sure I'd go now, after dark.

ltk · 15/12/2018 20:29

In sleet and wind, yeah, said person is acting strangely. There's nice-walk-in-the-cold-fresh-air, then there's shit weather.

NeedAUsernameGenerator · 15/12/2018 20:32

I walk all year round including in rain but if it's rainy, windy and cold like today I'll give it a miss. Each to their own though.

BadHairDyeDay · 15/12/2018 20:32

I would. And have. Felt loads better after. Be safe x

BoebePhuffay · 15/12/2018 20:34

Are you suspecting something else OP? Is this your partner? Do you think they were somewhere specific rather than jistbout for a walk?

covetingthepreciousthings · 15/12/2018 20:35

Did they go out appropriately dressed? I think I'd be concerned if not.

TheMightyToosh · 15/12/2018 20:35

Secret smoker?

Canysayifso · 15/12/2018 20:35

Said person has 'gone for a walk' previously in decent/not windy raining weather and been back within 20 minutes.
Just strikes me as odd that they'd choose tonight, when it's the worst weather we've seen for a while to go for a walk to calm down.

Ah well, must be nice to be able to continously take yourself off somewhere knowing someone else will sort everything at home.

I think it's weird but at least I'm lovely and cosy with the TV to myself now Grin

To be fair I go out in rain to calm down but this weather?

PurpleDaisies · 15/12/2018 20:36

I would. Sometimes you just need to get out in the fresh air.
