To think this is weird?

It's something like 0 degrees outside, snowing, cold inside and to think going 'for a walk' in this weather is crazy behaviour? As a way of 'having time to self' or 'to calm' or whatever the reason?

Would you?

I also like a walk in any weather.

However, drinking and being out in the cold, don't mix well, especially if the person has stormed off and wouldn't answer the phone etc.

ThePoliticiansPraiseMyName · 15/12/2018 20:38

It's been -15 and below here for the last few weeks, nothing better than going for a walk for some headspace.

Bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 15/12/2018 20:38

Not weird at all. My dds and dh need to go out at least once a day or they turn ridiculous hyper and I can't cope!! We all go out for a walk rain or shine or sleet and wind! In fact next weekend we are planning to be out all day for a nice walk somewhere and I'm already looking forward to it

HeathRobinson · 15/12/2018 20:41

How far to the nearest pub? Grin

Canysayifso · 15/12/2018 20:43

@HeathRobinson A 10 minute or so bus ride away? That was my thinking to be fair of where the walk may have taken but no one else suggested it Smile

I went for a walk today and it has been lashing rain and howling a gale all day. I used feeding the sheep as an excuse, but really I just wanted to get outside and blow some cobwebs away. It was a bit tricky with the wind, but I managed to stay upright, the sheep were grateful and I came back feeling refreshed.

Has the person had any other time on their own, I expect they just needed time to themselves and there wasn't the opportunity. But anyway 0 degrees and snow isn't actually that bad for walking in, hardly need particularly odd clothes.

@SneakyGremlinsBrokeTheSleigh At least you didn't turn up to the raid to find it was a Cresselia and no-one else did...

AllTakenSoRubbishUsername · 15/12/2018 21:00

Why not? It's lovely to have a walk in the cold and crisp if you're well wrapped up.

Fstar · 15/12/2018 21:02

Not weird, sometimes i like walking in the rain and snow, poor dog normally has to come too. Wakes me up and makes me appreciate the cosy house more when i get in

Chanelprincess · 15/12/2018 21:32

Definitely. I love being outside on a wild night like this and so do the dogs. There are lots of foxes and owls out tonight - it's beautiful.

covetingthepreciousthings · 15/12/2018 21:34

@Canysayifso has the person returned yet?

Canysayifso · 15/12/2018 22:03

Yes returned & in bed and snoring away.
Came in all cold (was not dressed for the weather at all). Went to the downstairs toilet to vomit & then took themselves straight up to bed and was snoring within 5 minutes..

Said person was annoyed at childs behaviour & the fact that child told them to go away - said person asked child if they never wanted to see them again Hmm and of course because child was annoyed responded with ''no''. Bearing in mind child has learnt 'go away' from said person when said person is annoyed & child has issues that mean DC has no 'filter'.

Due to being alcohol fueled said person then built it up in their mind over 30 minute time period and basically ''went for a walk'' with just a jumper & coat on - not even a waterproof one.

Stop saying "said person"

Clearly this is your partner and it sounds like your relationship is pretty awful, I would focus on that rather than why the person walked off in a huff.

HollowTalk · 15/12/2018 22:41

Exactly what UhUhUhDennis said.

Maelstrop · 15/12/2018 22:47

Your partner sounds like an idiot.

BoebePhuffay · 15/12/2018 23:11

“Said person” 😂😂😂

On a serious note, stop fucking about and doing that to your child. Your child does not deserve to be a pawn in your relationship pointscoring. You sound like a pair of insufferable twats. Piss or get off the pot. The contempt you have for him poses from your posts. You don’t like him. Don’t live with people you don’t like. Stop creating a toxic atmosphere for your child.

recklessruby · 15/12/2018 23:21

Love a walk in.fresh snow when it's all quiet and pretty. We have lashing rain here and howling gales. I didn't enjoy shopping in that earlier.
Good thing is this cold weather should sober a drunk person up pdq

Bestseller · 16/12/2018 09:05

I'm prone to terrible temper outbursts, especially premenstrually. I also love a walk. It's just occurred to me that I really should take myself out when the red mist descends.

It sounds like "said person" should go for a walk much earlier too.
