I’m late to the party but really like a couple of these and dislike some others too. What’s your favourite? I don’t know whether to take a chance and buy a couple randomly because their names sound nice 😂. Vanilla cupcake was one. However they are a lot of moneybif they don’t smell good.

I buy the yc votives in asda, they're only £1. You can try all the different smells until you find your favourites.

Few of my faves.

Baby powder,
Red apple wreath,
Winter wonder,
Glittering star,
Sugar frost Christmas (smells of cake!!)
Berry trifle
Vanilla cupcake
Frosty gingerbread.

Don't go through Clinton's or any of the little shops works out much darer, go direct to Yankee candle I get emails all the time with discount codes, I've just got the large jars for £14.99 each recently, spent a small fortune!!

It's also free delivery if you spend over £20 & they use couriers to deliver & pack really well so never arrive broken.

On Yankee at the moment it's buy 1 medium jar get 1 free, so £15.99 for 2 medium jars, I bought 2 last week when it was 2 for £20 and now it's cheaper, or the Christmas large jars are £16.79, it was £14.99 the other day with a code I used.

I could have shares in Yankee especially this month!! Grin

Christmas eve
Apple and pine needle
Vanilla cupcake

Clean cotton is my favourite but I like loads of them. You can buy selections.

I like the heavier musky fragrances rather than floral or fruity. I very often use incense sticks as my 2 favourites are Frankincense and Patchouli neither of which I seem to find as candles.

My absolute favourite for this time of year is Cosy by the Fire. Seems to have retired this year though, as I couldn’t find it anywhere. I did manage to get a new large jar on eBay though to pacify me for this year Smile

Kilimanjaro Stars, Pink Sands, Wedding Day and Sweet Nothings are my favourites for other times of the year.

Pibplob · 16/12/2018 15:59

I think I need to try black cherry, pink sands & vanilla cupcake. Also thinking of adding Christmas Eve or Christmas cookie to the list too.

Summer Scoop
Fireside Treats
Black cherry

Mandarin cranberry (brings back happy memories) and black cherry!

yawning801 · 16/12/2018 18:19

I find ones like Christmas Cookie a bit sickly for me, I prefer slightly more sour-smelling, refreshing scents IYSWIM

cathy87 · 16/12/2018 18:27

Black Plum Blossom is my favourite.

leahlemur · 16/12/2018 20:08

Yankee Candle outlets (definitely ones at East Midlands and York but I'm sure there's others) do a pick & mix which is the BEST. Think it's 12 votives for £10, 24 for £15 and 36 for £20 as well as all the jars being considerably cheaper. I always stock up if I'm nearby.

My favourites are warm cashmere, clean towels and fireside treats. I enjoy being cosy in case you can't tell...

bc1234 · 16/12/2018 20:25

Soft blanket is my ultimate favourite, baby powder, clean cotton and black coconut are all lovely

Pibplob · 16/12/2018 21:01

Baby powder sounds like it will smell gorgeous.
