Yankee candles. Favourite scent?

I’m late to the party but really like a couple of these and dislike some others too. What’s your favourite? I don’t know whether to take a chance and buy a couple randomly because their names sound nice 😂. Vanilla cupcake was one. However they are a lot of moneybif they don’t smell good.

Black cherry, chocolate espresso (not actually sure on that one, it’s some kind of choc/coffee mix) and berry trifle are my faves. I can’t stand the very sweet ones or the laundry scents, I prefer something a bit more earthy

Soft blanket for me too - same reason. He now buys a Soft Blanket Candle for me every birthday - love it!

Christmas Eve and Spiced Orange at this time of year.

Egyptian musk is gorgeous and Autumn Glow smells like expensive perfume.

Mullberry fig, lemon lavender, vanilla lime or warm desert sands.

Christmas cookie

Candy cane lane and pineapple and cilantro.
Hate any of the cinnamon ones .. 🤮

DS loves Angel’s Wings, as well as all the punchy citrus scents.

I’m guessing you don’t have a shop nearby, but mine always has a pick and mix offer on the votives and the wax melts, which is a great way to try them out.

Green Grass.

They discontinued it in the UK years ago (I had as stock pile) but it seems to be available again.

It smells just like freshly mown grass and clears cooking smells, freshens up the house really quickly.

I've currently got white chocolate cocoa burning - it's subtle and not too overpowering like some of the others.

CuriousaboutSamphire They do one called Aloe Vera which is very similar . I have it in my kitchen as like you say ,it’s great for getting rid of cooking smells

Tart Tatin - my fave candle of all time!

No, no shop near me. I may have to order some of the cheaper tea lights in a few fragrances that sound nice and have been recommended and see how I like them. I need a shelf full of them now. 😆

Stony Cove is my ultimate favourite but Yankee have discontinued it.

Weirdly, you can still get it from ASDA in the Yankee "Home Inspirations" range though...

Evening Fire, although it was discontinued earlier this year. It's such an unusual smell and nobody else around me liked it but me. If anyone knows if Yankee Candle are selling something similar now, please let me know. Other than that I love the fresh linen and cotton smells.

I love the vanilla cupcake one

I also ordered a couple of Yankee candle sets from Groupon in the last few weeks for Christmas gifts. They were a good price - I got 6 small jars for £20 (think they are £8-9 each normally) and I got four big ones for £20 (which I think are worth at least £11 each). The only thing was you didn’t know what flavours you’d get and I was slightly worried they wouldn’t be nice ones.

Well they are nice. Not necessarily ones I would choose for myself but lovely and perfect for gifts as there’s a variety. I had ordered the small ones first to see what I got and then got the other set so recommend that if you just want to try a few.

I like lavender vanilla and lime vanilla and also the tropical smelling one too (can’t remember the names)

One of the ones I got in the set was peach (sunset peach perhaps) and it’s lovely. Again I wouldn’t have chosen it but I love it.
