Step-son moved in

Hi, my 21 yr old step-son has moved in with us (I bought the house before I met his father). He has a new gf who stays over 5/6 nights a week. Neither have jobs and just sit around my house all day using electricity/gas at an alarming rate. I have just told him he needs to ask prior permission if he wants guests and even then no more than a couple of times a week. I have also asked him to contribute a little towards the bills. Am I being unreasonable?

2 extra people with who did not ask your permission to stay ? I've seen Christmas jobs advertised in my local shops, so what's the reason for 2 young, healthy people for not working ? Are they claiming benefits if so they should be contributing. Set deadline to be out, with or without job ! Entitled !

I had the same sort of thing my wife had 2 kids which was fine but they moved in 2of there friends with the wife’s consent I wasn’t consulted this was the beginning of the end of our relationship.

Save yourself the heartache and give your partener an ultimatum say you don’t want the stepson letting other people stay over without prior permission and you want him to move out befor say the end of feb. If your partener kicks off then get shot of both of them they are just users. Don’t give them time to think or to change your mind give them til the end of the day to get there stuff out of your house.

If you don’t you may as well just roll over and let them do what they want and become there cash cow.
