My housing officer is a pain in the ...
Every other week she's knocking about something ..keep garden tidier (it's fine ) etc etc.
I seen her car at the top of road earlier and 20 mins ago there was a knock.
I'm sat eating my dinner and she just knocks again and opens the door.
My own stupid fault as the parcel guy came earlier and carrying the heavy box forgot to go back to lock it.

It is not right, no. Ask her if she would feel comfortable if any of the HA tenants visited her house and simply let themselves in because they could see her in the kitchen?

That might put it into perspective for her.

I'd be making written representations to her manager. Totally out of order. Did you challenge her or were you too taken aback??

Definitely contact her management and find out if she is allowed to do that. Ask them to speak to her if not.

Someone knocked on my door once while I was on the toilet and then knocked again after another minute waiting. I shouted "coming" and they opened the door and walked in thinking I had said "come in".
Maybe a mistake on her part or misheard you?

I didn't make any noise as I was planning to ignore her.
I don't think she has anything better to do with her time.
The last housing officer I never seen ..I half expect to find this one hiding in a bush

I'm also wondering if she's on a power trip what with coming around every week; she's definitely crossed the line this time so you might want to use this opportunity to complain about her behaviour in general.

Even if it was private let, they can't do it. She is taking the piss. And from what you say, virtually bullying you.

Contact the H.A./council/landlord and make an OFFICIAL complaint.

Have you posted about her before OP, a few months ago, something about crisp packets being blown into your garden and her complaining to you and threatening you about it. Rings a bell. Apologies if got the wrong MumsNetter.

Report her, she can't do that. Imagine if you were walking round naked or in bed with your partner. Not acceptable.

She's absolutely not allowed to just walk in, but if she keeps needing to talk to you about the state of the garden then I think perhaps it's not as 'fine' as you say it is.

Also, why is she constantly checking up on you? It doesn't sound normal to have so much contact with your 'housing officer' whatever that is.

Yes that was me.
She is always on my case,I can't control the wind blowing things In my garden.
I got a shock and she said
"Oh thought I heard someone in"
I was taken aback I just said I didn't hear the door.
She wanted to come for my yearly inspection.

The housing officer has no right to gain access in that way, complain.

Yeah I heard her knocking but was planning to just ignore her.

When I first moved in and she came to inspect I got
"Wow surprised how nice you've made it,I'm shocked"

When I was a child we lived in a HA flat and had a very similar housing officer.. though she never tried to just walk into the flat she did turn up on a weekly basis to chastise my mum about the position of the wheelie bin (often not even our bin) or if there was a crisp packet in the communal garden etc. After six months of daft behaviour like that my mum complained and we never saw that housing officer again. The new one was much more reasonable and only dealt with actual issues which meant my mum and most of the residents in the block were left alone

I would get a cheap camera (like a motion sensor one) so you have her behaviour on record, then complain. You shouldn't have to live under that kind of harassment. It would make some people really ill.
