Just curious as to if you got yours from DWP (PIP etc). When? And what amazing thing you bought with it? Grin
Mine came yesterday and I bought electric and gas top ups, chocolate and painkillers.

Wow 😮 a light hearted thread turned in to world war 4 😵😵😖

Tiredmumno1 · 14/12/2018 22:57

Ha, well said hooman 👏* *

Let's await an answer, I bet Edwin works really hard for her money so they should be allowed some luxuries.

Motoko · 14/12/2018 22:57

Edwin, go away and bother those spending excessive amounts of money on gifts. Berate them, not the people on this thread.

And that's me putting it politely, because otherwise you'd no doubt report my post and get it deleted, if I said what I truly wanted to.

edwin - people who are homeless can also qualify for benefits and may also be in receipt of DLA/PIP/ESA and receive the Xmas bonus. Your argument makes no sense.

Personally I'd like to see the Xmas bonus increase in line with inflation. And I say that as someone that doesn't receive it but is on a low income. As others have said, it's not a race to the bottom. I'm disgusted that anyone begrudges people with disabilities or who are seriously ill £10 a year!

Tiredmumno1 · 14/12/2018 22:59

Oh and what Mokoto said.

I have been here way to long to get banned over someone like you.

Motoko · 14/12/2018 22:59

FFS Edwin. Hypocrite or what?

Tiredmumno1 · 14/12/2018 23:00

@TwistedStitch Shock

DeadBod · 14/12/2018 23:00

What a thoroughly horrible thread this has turned out to be. A lot of posters should be ashamed if their nasty comments.
I wish the £10 could be more so that it could be used as it's intended purpose, as a bonus, rather than having to be spent on essentials Sad

edwinbear · 14/12/2018 23:02

To answer your many questions - I volunteer at a homeless charity and donate significant amounts of money. My kids will spend part of their Christmas Day there. SimplySteve most homeless people are dealing with your health issues without acces to a roof over their heads or indeed a GP. How would you be getting your b without access to the NHS?

EwItsAHooman · 14/12/2018 23:03

My cheese board from the 'proper' cheese shop is costing £68 and a bottle of pink Veuve Clicquot is £36 - so that's £104 before I've started. HTH.

£104!!!!!!

For an extra £6 you could give a night in a hostel to ELEVEN homeless people @edwinbear.

But no, you enjoy your cheese and your champagne while begrudging us disabled folk and unpaid carers our chocolate bars and pantos.

We're not worthy of your brilliance.

Truly.

edwinbear · 14/12/2018 23:06

My DC and I will enjoy our Christmas AFTER we’ve volunteered at our local homeless charity. Yes. How many of you will be doing the same?

Tiredmumno1 · 14/12/2018 23:06

Oh well hearing that, we should all give up the bonus, come on all, hand it over to Edwin Hmm, oh please get over yourself and go bug your MP.

darkriver198868 · 14/12/2018 23:07

@edwinbear you clearly have no clue!

I have been homeless this last year. I lost my children this last year. My mental health is in the gutter and as it stands I am pretty unemployable because half of the time I don't know who I am. Don't tell me I don't know suffering because I do. Don't begrudge disabled people £10 because the Tories won't give extra to help the homeless in the first place. Get of your high horse!

Samcro · 14/12/2018 23:07

thank you to the posters who have wished dd well. she has had a hard year. yet another friend has died. people her age should not experience the loss and general hardship she does.
I hope the Op and others have used their small bonus to make life a little bit better.

SimplySteve · 14/12/2018 23:08

@edwinbear

They are? I highly doubt it. Are you omniscient to know that? I'm sorry, could you expand your question once you finish your glass of champers, you know where you can stick the bottle.

edwinbear · 14/12/2018 23:08

EwItsAHooman

I’ve funded far more than 11 people for lunch this Christmas thanks.

Ginandsonicscrewdriver · 14/12/2018 23:09

@edwinbear seriously though, you keep talking about “people on benefits”. Why do you view it so negatively?

EwItsAHooman · 14/12/2018 23:10

I’ve funded far more than 11 people for lunch this Christmas thanks.

But you could fund eleven more with the money you're spunking on fancy food at the same time as lecturing us about how we should be spending our money.

Are you this much of a hypocrite in real life or do you save it all for the internet?

How do you expect people who are caring for others to volunteer? How do you expect people who need carers, to volunteer?

You're just being a GF.

Ginandsonicscrewdriver · 14/12/2018 23:13

It would amaze you how many people with disabilities or who are carers do volunteer though. Like pp have said, often people with the least give the most proportionately in time/money etc.

recklessruby · 14/12/2018 23:14

simplysteve that's you told. How dare you moan about your cold house and bad health when you have a roof over your head and access to medical care?
And don't go to A and E coz you're not worthy of care you knowShock
