we all have old makeup

Rummaging around my handbag I just found a christian dior eyeshadow trio i bought in 2004. Am i the only one who can't bear to throw out old (expensive) makeup?
Amd more importantly can i still wear it?

My favourite lipstick is an Yves saint Laurent one that my sister bought me nearly 20 years ago! I also have a perfume I got for my 15th birthday from my mum, I'm 37....

2004 is too old - that’s pretty gross especially if you are still using it! Can’t believe you found it in your handbag, like it wasn’t even at the back of a packed draw or hiding in storage, you literally carry it around with you!

Why is 2004 too old though? What is it about the age that makes you think an item has become "gross"?

I have plenty of items way older than 2004.
