To be miffed for Emily Atack

Because everything seems to be about her looks. I thought she was beautiful on I'm A Celebrity. Her smile literally lit her whole face up and she seemed supportive, funny and down to earth. She just came across as a really lovely woman.

But watching the penultimate episode (I am very behind) with her mum saying her nails were dirty and her hair was messy (and then after saying how proud she was)and then when she came out, Harry Redknapp saying he thought she stood no chance with his son because of how she looked but seeing her with make up on now he has changed his mind Hmm

I actually think she is more beautiful without make up and with her big grin and it is sad that someone so lovely can still be criticised.

I know I am over invested so rant over Grin

Oh seriously! It was all said tongue in cheek, and going off the relationship they seem to have built up these past few weeks, I imagine it was said knowing she'd be laughing about it... when written down it does seem a bit demeaning and insulting, but I'm guessing you have watched the show for the past 3 weeks and have seen what kind of personalities they both have and also the friendship between them and surely realised that it wasn't said in anything but jest and light teasing, probably because she herself even made a joke of how much more Jamie would fancy her with fake tan and makeup

I admit to being pretty shocked when I saw Emily in the jungle - she does look totally different without make up on , completely unrecognisable.

Not any worse by a long shot, just going from sexy and vampy to fresh faced and pretty. I think she would be the first to admit that.

There has been some pretty unkind comments, but I think it has opened up a wider debate about how women feel they need to look , how much airbrushing goes on etc.

Yeah she is gorgeous. it's a bit daft to suggest Jamie is too good for her or 'too hot' for her.

She is certainly prettier than his ex wife Louise. Yeah she was cute, but Emily is prettier IMO. Louise was a 7.5 out of 10, Emily is a solid 9. I feel Louise depends a LOT more on make up and airbrushing to 'look good.' Emily doesn't.

Really? even if you knew fine well your dd had serious confidence and body image issues? Why would you say something like that in a situation where she can't do anything to make herself look the way she likes or have a follow up conversation with you, I think that would be cruel

Her mum was being a fusspot thats all she wasn't being mean I think we are taking what was said out of context her mum seems a loving mother and yes if my dd looked like that I would tease her about it sometimes you don't have to take everything so seriously.

Btw Emily was on imaceleb she put herself there it wasn't a warzone where she was suffering great hardship a little bit of perspectìve patti she could have left any time she wanted too.

Yes, she could have left but that's not really my point, I don't understand why a parent would say something to their child that they know they feel self conscious about in front of millions of viewers.

But maybe I'm in a minority, I wouldn't say anything like that to my dc even in private

I didn’t like her mum much either, she seemed like she puts her down a lot. Didn’t care for Emily much either but I felt sorry for her the way her mum was with her, id seen an interview her mum gave before that and she was saying she didn’t understand how Emily was still in there and she was really surprised!!

I think children need to build up ressiliance there is too many people/women with body issues and can't go out without make up etc etc I think we tip toe around this confidence thing too much so a gentle teasing turns into a huge deal and we are seen as knocking confidence

I didn't like Emily at all when she first went in and I judged her on how she always looked on tv and magazines and came to the conclusion she would be a typical silly blonde girl with no brain who only cared about hair and make up and if she had a boyfriend or not.
Having got to know her during her time in the jungle my opinion quickly changed about her and she became my favourite to win!! She's definitely not what I thought she would be.

I know his a good looking rich ex footballer but I wouldn't touch Jamie Redknapp with a bargepole ( not that he would even acknowledge me to be fair!)
I bet his nothing like his mum or dad.
If it's true, Louise said he was controlling etc etc. Lots of good looking guys don't have to try that hard either ; I bet his as vain as anything!
However, I do think that it is all about looks these days ; it's always has been the way but even worse these days sad to say.
It's a shallow world.

I really like Emily.

And as for the screeching I'll bet not a single one you wouldn't have screeched like that being surrounded by all those critters in the tasks and jungle. She felt relaxed enough to be able to scream and not hide it behind a brave face, so good for her.

I don't think the others would have had half as good a time without Fleur and Emily who were such a laugh and really caring. They brought out Harry's caring side and allowed him to be really honest to his wife about how much he loved her.

I've just had a google and the difference is astonishing. That's not a criticism, I'm just slightly bewildered as her skin and even her face shape looks completely different! Wtf? Is that just make up and contouring or whatever changing her natural skin tone and face shape completely?
