To be miffed for Emily Atack

Because everything seems to be about her looks. I thought she was beautiful on I'm A Celebrity. Her smile literally lit her whole face up and she seemed supportive, funny and down to earth. She just came across as a really lovely woman.

But watching the penultimate episode (I am very behind) with her mum saying her nails were dirty and her hair was messy (and then after saying how proud she was)and then when she came out, Harry Redknapp saying he thought she stood no chance with his son because of how she looked but seeing her with make up on now he has changed his mind Hmm

I actually think she is more beautiful without make up and with her big grin and it is sad that someone so lovely can still be criticised.

I know I am over invested so rant over Grin

I think harry was joking, he has a wife and granddaughters so I think he would know better than to comment on their looks. Remember he wouldn't even watch them whilst they showered? Emily was very much self-depreciating and raised the discussion of her looks many times. She's beautiful either way.

I don't really watch the show, but I would ignore Harry Rednapps comments.
He comes from the old school. Funny and approachable , but backward when it comes to his mind set to women and what they offer.
I feel sad about your message as would hope that the show would highlight Emily's qualities in terms of skills and attitude rather than her looks.

I didn't like her very much. When they were all starving she stole and ate someone else's portion of food and lied about it. Then when they got choc ices at the end Fleur found one first but didn't eat it until she'd helped the others find theirs but Emily just scoffed hers and sod them. (I'd probably have done the same but I'm not trying to win a popularity contest.)

Harry is of his time his wife looks after him thats how their life has been for 50odd years it wouldn't be for me but they genuinely seemed happy enough . I know women younger than me who run after their husbands backsides totally baffles me tbh but they also seem happy with their lot.

I agree Patti, I was just stating that I would 'think' he would know better. I think unless Emily comes out to say she's deeply hurt by the remarks then we're all just playing guessing games.

It was on GMB that Harry referred to saying that Emily had no chance with Jamie because of how she looked in the jungle but now that he had seen her "all scrubbed up and with her slap on maybe she did!"

I was Shock! But then again when you see them all in the jungle compared to in their regular clothes etc they all look different.

I think her Mum was just doing the mum thing with a look at how dirty your nails are and look at your hair. Her mum was the one who kept tweeting how lovely it was to see her au naturel with her lovely freckles showing.

YABU (IMO) because I don't think everything was about her looks. I saw many messages on twitter supporting her for being funny and cute, and saying she looked good with no make up (as well as with.)

I am miffed she didn't come first though.

She was sweet, funny, mad, quirky, lovely, and kind. And she is talented too. Nice singer, good impressionist, decent actress. Shit dancer though! Grin

She is also gorgeous. Glam and sexy and hot when she is made up, with her hair done, and cute and naturally pretty with her cute freckles, when she is not 'done up.'

I absolutely love her. Smile

Her mother and father (Kate Robbins and Keith Atack) must be so proud of her, and they have raised her well. And wasn't it SUCH a treat that all (11) camp-mates got on so well?!

I am still chuffed for Harry who won, but would have liked Emily to win. Amazing bunch all of them. Didn't dislike ONE of them!

PLUS, it's obvious to ANYone that she looked AMAZING when she was made up! (Still lovely not made up obvs!)

It was the best series ever they all brought the best out of each other i can't stand it when they are all fighting and bitching at each other. There has been a shift since that horrible Lady C was in it i think imaceleb producers have got their act together,

I agree, Lady C's behaviour was putrid and vile. She HATED Tony Hadley for nothing. She ruined that series for me.

Emily is a girl next door type despite her showbiz family / roots. She is pretty, funny, quirky etc but not in the same league as Jamie Redknapp who is a bloody stunner. I read that her last boyfriend was a model. I hope her next partner is someone more like her - maybe a comedian type like Chris Ramsey, cute and funny.

To be fair and clear, no one was starving in there. They always had basic rations and had many treats, they regularly had full meals - albeit food they may not have been used to. Yes they were likely to be hungry as they wouldn;t have had access to on tap food whenever they wanted it, but starving ? Hardly.

My father was a POW, for the last months of the war before liberation the only 'food' available to the prisoners in his camp was swede peelings - thrown into the mud for the prisoners to scrabble for. When he came out at 5'11 height, he weighed five stone. That's starving. Some well fed celebs on slightly less than usual rations for 3 weeks ? - not so much.

Sorry to get all serious but it is a seriously misused term.

Similar age and character. Jamie is too old for her IMO.

What Mitzimaybe said. Nearly everyone seems to have overlooked her stealing food and not owning up to it, ok it wasn't the strawberry-gate level of last year but still sneaky.
