I'm on mat leave and DS is cluster feeding all night. I'm going insane and have exhausted all of my Spotify playlists.

I need a binge watch-able tv series!

Loved:

  • Breaking Bad
  • The Street
  • Staircase
  • Evil Genius
  • Empire

But am open to all suggestions!

My 7 week old is a very demanding little thing!

OP posts:

Spiral
Line of Duty
Nurse Jackie
Outlander
Peaky Blinders

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 07/12/2018 00:38

Only two, ever, both recent and both totally worth it:
Killing Eve : stunning deserves every accolade going.
The Haunting of Hill House : excellent, not scary, desperately sad.

rippednips · 07/12/2018 00:40

Mrsjohnmurphy I think you might mean The Littke Drummer Girl - fab!

SecretLimonadeDrinker · 07/12/2018 01:51

@SpareASquare are you in the U.K.? Loved hart of Dixie and was trying to find episodes early this week but to no avail. Sad

MummaMinnie · 07/12/2018 02:00

If you liked The Bridge then you might also like Modus. It's another Swedish program based on books written by Norwegian author Anne Holt. There have been two series so far.

penguingirl · 07/12/2018 02:25

I just watched all 13 seasons of criminal minds in the last month, got properly addicted, mainly due to Dr Reid! Blush
Before that, Alias, so naff but great fun.

Linziepie · 07/12/2018 03:30

The Shield- best series I have ever watched.

DaffoDeffo · 07/12/2018 04:01

You like similar to me too so if you like subtitled

The Killing
The Icelandic murder one that someone else is bound to remember the name of (can probably google)
Beck (not as fast but still good)
River
Engrenages (The Spiral) which is superb

Just started the Wire and hooked and there are masses of episodes but it's slow moving (though perfect for a long binge watch!)

Snowfish · 07/12/2018 04:44

Please don't watch The Haunting of Hill House on your own in the dark. I found it brilliant but absolutely terrifying!!

My suggestions:
Making a murderer
Mad Men
Better call Saul
The Staircase
Succession (Sky Atlantic)

Fantastiqueangel · 07/12/2018 05:26

Mozart in the Jungle is ideal for bingeing as it's light and the episodes are short.

Notevenmyrealname · 07/12/2018 05:35

I only have Netflix but here are some I’ve enjoyed:
Better Call Saul (individual episodes can be a bit slow I found so much better binge watched)
Narcos and Narcos Mexico
I watched House when I was on mat leave waiting for baby to arrive but it’s not on Netflix anymore but might be on another provider.
Orange is the New Black
The Good Place (for a bit of light relief)

If you get the Channel 4 app, they have a lot of comedy shows on there too.

Bringbackbertha · 07/12/2018 05:43

Better call Saul
Black mirror
Inside no 9
Sabrina the teenage witch (the new one)

Comedy :
Black books
Coupling
IT crowd

Call the midwife

Bringbackbertha · 07/12/2018 05:44

Shield is brilliant

Spermysextowel · 07/12/2018 06:11

Better Call Saul
Sneaky Pete
