I have bought a slab of rich iced Christmas cake, I've hidden it at the bottom of the bread in and I'm not even sorry.

DH doesn't like it but the kids will both decide they want to try it, take one bite and put it in the bin.

AIBU to just want it for me?

Disclaimer: I'm really not cruel, I've bought the 3 of them a Yule log to share 😂

Lovely box of Lindor chocolate orange truffles - not for sharing!

Whifty · 06/12/2018 18:53

A massive box of quality street. I'm about half way through it Grin

lborgia · 07/12/2018 01:30

Do you mean bought and not yet eaten? Blush

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 07/12/2018 05:11

My parents brought me back 25 packets of peanut butter M&S from Canada. It's the only chocolate I love and my DH and DCs won't be getting a sniff of them!

OnlyonplanetMN · 07/12/2018 05:38

Nothing yet but I’m going to Marks and Tesco today so...

tillytrotter1 · 07/12/2018 21:01

Chocolate covered whole almonds from Lidl, they're definitely somewhere in the house, last year I found them in June!

YouBetterWORK · 07/12/2018 21:29

Our xmas stash will be the usual, box of lindor, after eights and naice cheeses. None of this is bought yet, it'll be gone before xmas otherwise! We also stockpile the Tesco finest salted caramel nuts bag and hickory ones on which we've made a tentative start Grin

Oysterbabe · 07/12/2018 21:33

I just bought some Gluhwein. I haven't hidden it though, I'll share with DH.

JaceLancs · 07/12/2018 21:37

In my wardrobe till Christmas

Russiawithlove · 07/12/2018 21:42

Large bottle of baileysSmile

theWarOnPeace · 07/12/2018 21:51

Nothing yet, I’m saving all of my indulgence for the week before. I feel stressed and have tonnes of work and deadlines to get through (hence frequent tea breaks and MN), and am looking forward to getting it all done by the 18th and then going hell for leather. We have a fairly empty cupboard that’s screaming out for all sorts of chocolates, cookies and cakes.... got my eye out for Hagen daz being on offer, and will go to my favourite Italian deli soon to get beautiful cheeses and cured meats. Salivating just thinking about it

Reaa · 07/12/2018 21:52

I have bought myself a Venus fly trap plant Grin

FrenchSchnoodle · 07/12/2018 21:54

Lindor. I'm sure it's written down somewhere that you have to purchase a box or two for yourself.

ToEarlyForDecorations · 07/12/2018 21:56

M&S Truffles. Aldi truffles.
Terrys Chocolate Orange.
Christmas cake.
Toblerone - better get it out of the house before I forget it's meant to be a present.

cricketmum84 · 07/12/2018 22:45

Ah I'm so glad it's not just me!! I was feeling a bit mean!

I'm not even gonna mention the full bottle of baileys I bought on 1st December which is now empty. Or the box of mince pies which I didn't need to hide Cos nobody else eats them!

I'm not a huge chocolate fan tbh but am so so looking forward to some naice cheeses!

Reaa my daughter has asked for one on her Christmas list! Do they struggle during winter? I don't know whether to wait until the weather is warmer??

cricketmum84 · 07/12/2018 22:59

@raindancemumma my daughter has asked for one too. We have bought a gift box from amazon where she can grow one from seed so it will be indoors in the warmth through winter :)

I was doing some wrapping today and somehow managed to eat a jar of sugared fruit jellies I had bought for my sons stocking.

thesunwillout · 07/12/2018 23:03

Green and Blacks selection, hidden in my wardrobe.
Bottle of Baileys left at my mums house, I shall collect it xmas eve as I don't trust myself.

Ginkythefangedhellpigofdoom · 07/12/2018 23:10

I will be getting a big toblerone

I got a big bottle of baileys but I won't open it until at least the 23rd

Oh and I got this jacket from emp when I was getting some of their presents Blush
I don't often buy myself clothes full price but I really wanted it.

raindancemumma · 07/12/2018 23:17

@cricketmum84 oooooh, hadn't thought about growing one from seed (which is odd, as my kids love sowing seeds every winter) I will definitely look into that!

blibblibs · 07/12/2018 23:17

I have Christmas biscuit from Aldi that are mine alone and my special Christmas coffees.
I don't hide them but no one else likes them so I feel very lucky Smile
I have bought pistachios, pigs in blanket crisps and quality streets for everyone else that I'm not really fussy about so it feels very fair.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 07/12/2018 23:21

Baileys. And a toblerone. Mine all mine! To be fair, no one else will want the Baileys, but they'd be all over the Toblerone. I've hidden it in my sock drawer.

skybluee · 07/12/2018 23:34

None :(
But I do hope to put a Christmas tree up this year :)

Hillarious · 07/12/2018 23:39

A bar of Lindt milk chocolate with Cognac. Tracked it down on a trip to Germany and have managed not to eat it yet!
