I have bought a slab of rich iced Christmas cake, I've hidden it at the bottom of the bread in and I'm not even sorry.

DH doesn't like it but the kids will both decide they want to try it, take one bite and put it in the bin.

AIBU to just want it for me?

Disclaimer: I'm really not cruel, I've bought the 3 of them a Yule log to share 😂

None yet , but I'll buy some naice whisky for DH that I'll hide .

I need some dark chocolate marzipan for me. No-one else ears it so I'll only need to hide it from me Xmas Grin

Quality Streets and have hidden half of them in my stomach over the past two days. Heading home now to “hide” some more. Might hide a glass of wine too. 😊

I went Christmas gift shopping today (B & M, several charity shops, Asda, and Morrisons,) as I need to buy some gifts for another 5 or 6 people. (On top of the 10 I have already bought for.)

I ended up buying 5 different things for myself (and spending £33 in total.) And I bought NOTHING for anyone else. I just couldn't find anything!!!

I'm so embarrassed. Blush I can barely afford to buy anything now til Tuesday when I get paid. Too many DD's due out over the weekend and Monday!

I got home, and got the bag out of the boot, and ran to the garage to hide the bag with the stuff in that I had bought. (Before DH saw it all!) Grin

Yes definitely, I have no compunction about doing stuff like this. I got some Turkish delight and cherry liqueurs from M&S in their 2 for a fiver deal, nobody else likes either of them so I don't really need to hide them either.

If I need to hide anything high value Grin I always use my mum's old trick of using a muesli box - nobody ever looks in there.

I got bogof milk chocolate biscuit boxes in M&S a couple of weeks ago and hid them. I will share them when I finally reveal them

A slice & share chocolate wreath with gold dusted almonds, which i may choose to slice but def not sharing, and a bottle of passion fruit Gin liqueur (both from Aldi) which shaken over ice with an equal measure of cranberry juice makes the most amazing cocktail. May need to invest in a few more bottles of this as its a small batch and tastes wonderful and unlike anything else i can get. Have dropped hints to everyone who will listen for more bottles for Xmas. Xmas Grin hic

Ooo that does sound like a good cocktail!

Also, every year (apart from last year as I was pregnant) I make the nigella chocolate salami. Except I don't bother with the stringing etc. I just cover in icing sugar and call it a yule log. Google it, requires no cooking whatsoever (If you don't count melting choc in a bowl) and is a chocolatey ameretto nutty biscuity wonder and great with pouring cream. Xmas Smile
