Have been told it's ridiculous ?!

OP posts:
Threeminis · 02/12/2018 01:04

He looks like a Keith!
If we ever get a dog Gary said no he will be called Kevin.

AornisHades · 02/12/2018 01:09

He looks a Kevin to me, sorry.

MrDonut · 02/12/2018 01:14

Ok, Keith is fine but Dave the dog and Colin the cat are so overdone it’s ridiculous. If you go to the park and shout Dave, half the dogs will come running.

UbiquitousDust · 02/12/2018 01:14

@Threeminis
I refuse to believe there could be a second cool Gary cat so hi there neighbour!

agnurse · 02/12/2018 03:28

I once met a pure black cat named Jason. Friends of ours had a dog (mutt AFAIK; think she may have been part Alsatian but not positive) named Kitty.

Go for it.

agnurse · 02/12/2018 03:29

HIM NICE BOY!!! I have a special soft spot for pugs and he is so cute!

plominoagain · 02/12/2018 04:12

Oh he’s a Keith , definitely ! We have a Clive .....

Animals with human names are hilarious. Dave. Clive. Malcolm. Colin.

caseyjones · 02/12/2018 05:09

I’ve got a 13 year old Brian and I love him ❤️

Alfie190 · 02/12/2018 05:26

I have two pugs with human names. I don't think Keith suits him, I don't know why not, I think it would be ok on a bigger dog.

My younger pug has a one syllable name, I didn't know two syllables was better for dogs. I told his breeder what I planned to call him about a week before we picked him up and he knew and responded to his name from the day we got him as she had obviously been using it.

fuzzyduck1 · 02/12/2018 05:46

To be a Keith I hope your dogs a Labrador.

Names just not scary enough to be a German Shepard.

WereYouHareWhenIWasFox · 02/12/2018 05:49

Why is it ridiculous? It has been done to death, so is no longer even mildly amusing.

Poodles1980 · 02/12/2018 08:32

We have a cat called Keith. Keith is actually a girl but looks a bit ahem larger framed.

WilyMinx · 02/12/2018 08:55

I remember Miranda Hart specifically saying in an episode of The Graham Norton Show that you just can't name a dog 'Keith'.

Bluesheep8 · 02/12/2018 08:57

If it suits him, do it. My Dad has fond memories of a dog called Chris. And I know someone with a Dave and a Margaret.

Kittykatmacbill · 02/12/2018 08:59

Lovely name for dog! But if you get a second it will have to be Nigel!

Walnutsandsquirrels · 02/12/2018 09:00

I had dog called Keith, but I think yours looks more like a Nigel

Walnutsandsquirrels · 02/12/2018 09:01

Crossed post with kitty -

cropcirclesinthefields · 02/12/2018 09:04

I love it if definitely call him Keith.

festivedramallama · 02/12/2018 09:04

Keith is a cool name 😎 we have a Jeffrey, love proper names on pets

woodwaj · 02/12/2018 09:06

I've had a hamster called Keith. We've got kittens now Larry and Dave!

LadyPlasters · 02/12/2018 09:11

I had guinea pigs called Madge and Harold.
I think human names for pets are great. Keith is a great name!

NiceUnusualDifferent · 02/12/2018 09:12

I like John or Andrew

mostdays · 02/12/2018 09:15

Pet names are supposed to be slightly ridiculous aren't they? Our oldest cat is Leia, bit of a daft but lovely name for daft but lovely cat. Its not like the other animals are going to shun Keith for being called that, he won't be crying at you "why couldn't you have called me something like Rex, you've ruined my life".

GlitteryFluff · 02/12/2018 10:09

Why is keith sitting in someone's underpants whilst they're on the loo?!
