To name my pet dog Keith?

I absolutely love human names for animals, my partners work colleague has a dog called jim

I think it’s great, I love coming across animals with properly traditional names like that.
In our house we have Matilda and Marion. If we get another dog it’s Penelope for a girl or Theodore for a boy.
I once knew someone with a Labrador called Trevor which I thought was great.

My dog is called Elsie.

You could call it Keitha like the girl on Flight of the Conchords

Well it's got to be better than the neighbour of a uni drinking pal who allegedly called his dog Spliff...

I really don't like it when dogs are called people names- normally pete, Dave etc-
To me it's just people trying to be funny

I don't like the name Keith, it reminds me of a whiny guy I knew at university. He wore a red cagoule and annoyed everyone.

I love Trevor though! (my dad's name )

I absolutely love it, but then I've got a Kevin so I suppose I'm gonna be bias when it comes to calling dogs ugly human names

I love it. I know someone who named their dog Dave, also someone who named him Trevor, and I think Sheridan Smith has a dog called Alan.

I have a Phil and Grant

Once met a dachshund puppy named Brian. He was being taught how to go for a walk by his owners. One held the lead, the other crouched on the pavement in front of them calling 'Brian' and moving slowly backwards. Brian had no idea what to do and was adorable.

I know a dog called Hamish. I love it. I think Keith is cute in an ironic sort of way. And it’s not like many people name their children Keith these days.

I had a hamster called Keith, he was a great hamster! Go with the name!

And to the person who thinks human names for animals is just people trying to be clever, don’t be such a grouch. Better Keith than Fido or Fluffykins.
