£19 a month unlimited internet with EE, it includes a landline but no call costs because I don't actually have a land line.

whatsthepointthen · 30/11/2018 18:27

that sounds much more affordable! i never use the landline but got unlimited calls as thought it would work out better if i ever needed to.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 30/11/2018 18:37

I pay 17 with sky

AutumnGlitterBall · 30/11/2018 18:40

About £20 with Plusnet which is unlimited broadband. We don’t have any call allowance for the landline but, to be honest, I’ve never used it as I get a thousand minutes with my mobile.

knowledgeofnone · 30/11/2018 18:42

I pay about £58 a month but that's for my home phone(free weekend calls), tv, broadband and two mobile sims with bt

Racecardriver · 30/11/2018 18:43

£15 a month broadband. No idea if I have a phone line. I must do I suppose but I don’t use it.

WhoTookTheCookie · 30/11/2018 18:46

£20 a month with Sky.
Changed recently after realising I paid a ridiculous amount with BT for shit service.

whatsthepointthen · 30/11/2018 18:47

who is that with Racecardriver i never have credit on my phone as i can never afford it, i will be able to once i stop spending £40 a month 😩

I'm with Plusnet they have a prepay landline for a year deal around £99 then various competitive monthly internet rates depending on what you need.

What I really love about them is they contact you when your special rate is coming towards an end so you can set up a new deal. Plus, they have UK call centres if you need help setting up or during your contract

Broken11Girl · 30/11/2018 18:56

It's a lot and a bit.

HateMyHair · 30/11/2018 18:58

Sorry, can't resist, but this is alot .

Seriously, I pay £10.99 / month for unlimited superfast fibre broadband with Plusnet, as well as £15.49/month line rental (paid annually upfront), so yes, it does seem a lot!

Phone them up and try and renegotiate - compare with deals from other companies for new customers and threaten to leave. I always do this and manage to get a better deal than what they want to keep me on!

Upoverunder · 30/11/2018 19:00

£27 for 60mbps Fibre and landline. Sky.

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/11/2018 19:04

HateMyHair it’s usually me linking that.

Yes - it’s a lot, a bit, two separate words. No need to connect them.

£40 does seem a lot for that, we have fast broadband, phone and most of the Sky channels for £50. You need a landline to run the internet through, even if you don’t use the phone, so have to have it. You could definitely get cheaper internet though.

Leonie87 · 30/11/2018 19:05

Why do people think a lot is just one word? Where does that come from?!

whatsthepointthen · 30/11/2018 19:07

oh here we go, forgot what mumsnet was like, you make a mistake and everyone beats you over the head with it! forgot your all perfect.

OP posts:
whatsthepointthen · 30/11/2018 19:08

oh and you’re* before i get pounced on again. some people must actually sit there waiting for someone to make a mistake. get a life. 🙄

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/11/2018 19:10

No-one’s beating you over the head, just trying to help you learn how to spell correctly, it’s a helpful skill.

LeggyLinda · 30/11/2018 19:11

OMG
I was about to come on and say how cheap it was.
Looking at other replies I am obviously being fleeced. £150 per month for Internet and phone and TV. Will follow this thread with interest - sorry OP for not adding anything constructive.

BuffaloCauliflower · 30/11/2018 19:12

Flipping heck LeggyLinda! What are you getting?!

Chickpea99 · 30/11/2018 19:16

Oh my.. I pay about £48 and have ‘secretly’ suspected its a lot.
Im on BT and only reason we keep it is my DH wants BT sport.
We had a bit cheaper deal, but limited internet and recently went over the limit.
It broke my heart to sign another contract for 2 years. I think after next term I will switch. Too pricey.

Asdf12345 · 30/11/2018 19:17

It rather depends where you are. In hull that would be rather cheap but you don’t get access to the whole market there just the local service, we live somewhere supposedly only supplied on a fibre line owned by sky so again pay £40 I think but fortunately it gets reimbursed by the better half’s employer. The last place we lived with whole market access worked out at about £18 a month.

Chickpea99 · 30/11/2018 19:17

So OP you are on not the highest fee. However it is only broadband you are paying for - there are chheaper deals.

RippleEffects · 30/11/2018 19:17

Wine EVERYONE, really! Been a long week here too. More Wine

Weekend needed all round

VeniVidiViciTwice · 30/11/2018 19:18

I pay £50 per month for sky TV with box sets, Internet and phone line including unlimited calls to mobiles. It is a far cry from the package we had from bt which was £100 a month and slowly climbing.

HateMyHair · 30/11/2018 19:20

Oh for goodness sake, I wasn't beating you over the head, and I did offer help! (you're welcome! Wink )

Anyway, I think the Alot is cute!

Is this alot?
