I've just switched mum from BT to EE, it costs £35 for broadband, landline and mobile saving her over £40/month

Line Rental Saver... paid a year upfront, works out to be £16.49 per month. Fibre Broadband £20.99 (includes Evening & Weekend calls).
So getting close to your £40 @whatsthepointthen

What broadband options you have depends on your area. I am a long way from the nearest phone exchange, so the ADSL services are useless. It was only when FTTC came to the village that broadband speeds became reasonable but as it is a fibre product, the costs are higher than broadband via copper wire.
