And why not? Trashing the reputation of Mark Carney. Moving his finance business to Ireland in order to keep his business in the EU. And still persisting in telling us suckers that we'll all better off outside the EU. Not financially better off, no, not for many years but we'll be free of the tyranny of t he euro state. Hurrah.

Aquilla interested why JRM would make a fantastic PM?! I didn't think anyone would be worse than Donald Trump but JRM would be a close call. He hasn't got a chance fortunately.

Avegemitesandwich · 30/11/2018 10:27

I admire JRM and think he would be a fantastic PM.

Can you expand on this please?

I too admire JRM, but only for not trying to pretend that he is anything but a greedy, selfish wanker who doesn't give a fuck about anything but himself and his money.

NowtSalamander · 30/11/2018 10:36

I’m not a fan of JRM’s politics. Nevertheless, anyone calling for a Two Minutes’ Hate needs to go back, re read 1984 and take a long hard look at themselves. If we don’t even understand that level of political satire then politics are sick and we are deluded.

I haven't read the full thread but here's his voting record I can't see anything to like

katekat383 · 30/11/2018 10:51

He is a dreadful person.

BarbarianMum · 30/11/2018 10:52

It does seem as though he's managed to read the whole New Testament and rather miss the point.

How can anyone be proud of voting to leave?

longwayoff · 30/11/2018 10:57

I embrace your contempt, its a lot more welcomethan your approval would be.

He might want to go back and give the catechism another read as well Barbarian.

Surely a proper English gentleman would know how to wear a suit. He always looks more like he’s trying to pretend to play the part of a proper English gentleman.

Quietrebel · 30/11/2018 13:38

Flicking through this thread makes me regret that women have the vote at all.

You should be ashamed. Such a statement is more extreme and hateful than anything said before.

Talkinpeece · 30/11/2018 13:47

Oh joy, WhollyFather is here to mansplain

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 30/11/2018 14:13

I thought this appropriate.

House prices are going down.

Immigration from non-EU countries has increased.

Businesses and individuals are preparing to take key processes overseas (including JR-M)

Unemployment is increasing in relatively deprived areas and in certain fields across the country.

So far, Carney's warnings are holding up

JRM, like his fellow Brexit conspirators, is a wealthy man.

He will not suffer at all from Brexit, unlike the poor (in both senses of the word) mugs who believed the lies about money for the NHS.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/11/2018 14:47

Houseprices go up and down, having been soaring for the past few years they are now slowing. In addition the largest housing market drop for generations was in 2009, you know whilst we were in the EU with no signs of leaving.

StoneofDestiny · 30/11/2018 16:27

Exactly - seriously misses the point. Bit like Thatcher quoting the prayer of St Francis. Hypocritical and insulting.

PerkingFaintly · 30/11/2018 16:34

Oh, now I'm very sorry that comment by WhollyFather has been deleted.

Particularly given his fondness for trumpeting that the referendum is sacred and the people voted.

PerkingFaintly · 30/11/2018 16:36

IIRC, he just said he sometimes thought women shouldn't have the vote.

(I've put this separately in case MNHQ decides to delete a post which repeats part of a deleted post. But I really think this should stay on the record about WhollyFather.)
