I’ll start. There is absolutely nothing acceptable about all day breakfast in a tin so why did I buy it in B&M earlier and eat it for dinner?! Blush

I do this smoked bacon and mushroom in a white wine and cream sauce recipe with rice. I cook it till the cream is nearly brown. Sounds vile but is fab.

TinDogTavern · 27/11/2018 22:23

@Neverender I do the salami and cheese roll up thing - can I recommend you pop a green olive in the middle (to be posh, like) - bloody lovely.

missmouse101 · 27/11/2018 22:23

Dairylea cheese slices, 20p space raider crisps, plain cooked spaghetti with a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper. Yum!

HeronLanyon · 27/11/2018 22:24

Tinned custard (heated) with hot chocolate stirred in. Don’t even have a sweet tooth but around twice a year nothing else at all will do.

SaltLamp · 27/11/2018 22:27

Someone should stick all these into an app where you can click "random" and get a recipe on your way home from the pub...

SandraTheBee · 27/11/2018 22:29

Heinz macaroni cheese, disgusting and fabulous at the same time. I could live if it but I don’t.

adoggymum · 27/11/2018 22:30

Heinz macaroni cheese was the love of my childhood😁 also the beef ravioli Heinz do😂 haven't touched either for 10+ years now!

YoThePussy · 27/11/2018 22:33

Batchelors pasta n sauce is the dogs whatsit with extra cheese and made all milk. By using extra cheese this does make it semi cooking from scratch.

Salmon paste white bread sarnies are another winner with a bag or two of mini cheddars.

MrsGB2225 · 27/11/2018 22:33

Heinz tinned ravioli

SaltLamp · 27/11/2018 22:42

@Mixedupmummy go. Buy the 3 for £1 noodles (far superior IMO) and stash the other two away for the next time your other half is out...

DragonSnaps · 27/11/2018 22:43

Horseradish on extra thick, buttered toast!

Andromeida59 · 27/11/2018 22:46

Potato waffles with cheese and marmite!!

DragonSnaps · 27/11/2018 22:46

Also, hot salty French fries dipped in strawberry ice cream. No other flavour will do as that would just be weird! Maccies cheeseburgers also with strawberry ice cream. Yum!!

icebearforpresident · 27/11/2018 22:50

Chicken micro noodles
A crisp sandwich made with walkers pickled onion (you couldn’t pay me to eat a pickled onion but walkers pickled onion crisps is the food of the gods)
chocolate & caramel spread

But what may be worst of everything on this list is a Greggs cheese and onion pasty.

Figmentofimagination · 27/11/2018 22:54

Remembered another one.

Cheese spread on mini cheddars.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 27/11/2018 22:57

P.S: Top tip for all fellow lovers of nasty cheese snacks:
Stick your wotsits or cheese balls in the freezer for 15 minutes before eating them. Trust me on this. Game changer

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 27/11/2018 22:58

Figmentofimagination Yass Queen

Oopsusernamealreadytaken · 27/11/2018 22:58

Beans and sausages on marmite soldiers with grated cheese and bbq sauce 😛

Oopsusernamealreadytaken · 27/11/2018 22:59

Pickled onion and packet of crisps

Omzlas · 27/11/2018 23:00

Rice with cheese on top, smothered in Hendersons relish (like Worcester sauce, but Yorkshire)

Marmite and soft cheese on toast. ALWAYS marmite first though

Boxerbinky · 27/11/2018 23:02

@CaptainCabinets omg this... Crisp sandwiches are an absolute winner. Salt and vinegar or prawn cocktail are the best.

That and a chip butty with red sauce mmmmmm

YoThePussy · 27/11/2018 23:04

Not adverse to the sachets of rissoto with dried veg in you get in Aldi, ditto microwave rice and cous cous with bits in.

Only discovered tinned beans and sausages recently, manna of the gods.

My emergency food stash for winter days may well be made up of many of the suggestions made here.

moonbabyandthebeast · 27/11/2018 23:04

Spaghetti mixed with grated cheese and ketchup

Tomato soup always has to have cheese cubes dropped in. Extra points for chopped up babybels as they go really stringy

Making up a dry packet pasta and sauce and finding a few of the pasta tubes with undissolved powder in.

For a slightly different take I can recommend Cheddar cheese cubes ( the stronger the better) dipped in honey then rolled in instant coffee- sounds very weird but I can assure you its delicious!

Jent13c · 27/11/2018 23:05

Condensed milk straight from the tin
Icing sugar from the packet
The most garlicky chicken Kiev you can find
Rice pudding with milky stars melted in (my 'ill' food)

Also, through my entire pregnancy all I ate was Cullen skink and Bachelors chicken supernoodles

pattyhoo · 27/11/2018 23:05

I have never considered eating instant noodles on or in bread before have I been missing out all this time?!

Dr Oetker pizza with extra grated cheese

Chips cheese + gravy (or curry sauce if I'm going to be fancy)

Drinking chocolate on vanilla ice cream, melted and mixed to a paste 😍

Pringles.
