I’ll start. There is absolutely nothing acceptable about all day breakfast in a tin so why did I buy it in B&M earlier and eat it for dinner?! Blush

Fried spam sandwich with brown sauce
droool

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 27/11/2018 21:55

Green pot noodle
Plastic cheese slices rolled up with plastic ham
Macaroni cheese of any kind as long as it's cheap and doesn't have anything in it apart from macaroni, cheese and cheese sauce. No bacon or truffle or anything.
Turkish delight Cadbury's

halfwitpicker · 27/11/2018 21:55

What is wrong with you all?

I raise you rendered warm fat off duck confit

Bluelonerose · 27/11/2018 21:55

Woah you can cook potato waffles in the toaster? How did I not know this? Shock

halfwitpicker · 27/11/2018 21:56

Sprouts in chilli con carne with mint sauce on the side.

^

What fresh hell

Bluelonerose · 27/11/2018 21:57

Dh is just as bemused and wants to know if they have to be defrosted first or can they be done from frozen?

cheshireagain · 27/11/2018 21:57

Billy bear on white bread with loads of butter

Lozz22 · 27/11/2018 22:02

Tiger loaf sliced and thickly spread with cold pease pudding and proper ham, non of the cheap plastic crap stuff!!

Veggie sausages with warm pease pudding

Cheese and onion crisps and salad cream sandwiches

Chips, cheese and gravy

White bread toasted and buttered, watsits on top, covered in spaghetti hoops and grated cheese and shoved under the grill until cheese has melted

Plain crisps with smarties or chocolate buttons thrown in

MacDonalds strawberry milkshake with MacDonalds chips dipped in

Cheese, Branson pickle and peanut butter sandwiches

Chicken super noodles sandwiches dipped in salad cream

Chicken nuggets, chicken super noodles and barbecue sauce

Homemade Yorkshire puddings with mushy peas, onion gravy and mint sauce

Yorkshire puddings with jam and ice cream

Yorkshire puddings with treacle

Pancakes with tinned steak and onion gravy

Gherkins dipped in chocolate spread and then the pickle juice poured into a glass to drink

And drunk, doner meat and chips, garlic sauce on the chips and ketchup on the doner meat. Definitely could not eat that sober though!!

The fray bentos chicken and mushroom pie served with baby potatoes with shit loads of butter on them and peas and sweet corn. No gravy though. Separate pastry and mix veg into the pie sauce. Piece of buttery potato with a scoop of fray bentos chicken and mushroom pie filling and peas and sweet corn scooped on top!! Eat pastry separately.

Oh and I have a massive hankering for MacDonalds at the moment!! Can't get enough of them!! Especially because they have the £1.99 Big Mac meal vouchers with every purchase!!

This thread has made me remember that baked bean pizza you used to be able to get! I loved them! I remember my mum getting it for me as a treat after I did the 24 hour famine!

I used to make a really disgusting pasta thing - tuna, mixed with ketchup, with pasta and grated cheese. It was a uni staple for me, but I think I might have finally outgrown it as not sure I’d eat it now!

LeslieYep · 27/11/2018 22:05

My dad used to buy powdered milk (not sure why) and he'd mix it to a paste with water and eat it with a spoon! I followed suit and would make it as a snack when I came in from school.

My grandad used to make me Oxo with 1/2 TSP salt to drink when I was little.

So good!

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 27/11/2018 22:06

@Bluelonerose they actually cook better in the toaster!

ifyoulikepinacolada · 27/11/2018 22:06

@Bluelonerose just keep shoving them in until they’re done, from frozen is fine!

Has anyone mentioned a battered sausage yet?

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 27/11/2018 22:06

No food makes me feel better, body and soul, than white sliced plastic bread.
I think white sliced plastic bread + full fat coke should win the Nobel prize in Medicine.

CarrieBlu · 27/11/2018 22:07

littlepeas I loved those baked bean pizzas too! I make my own now. Not as good of course, but still hits the spot.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 27/11/2018 22:08

A scotch egg cooked in a hot oven for 20 mins then dipped in tomato ketchup

MumW · 27/11/2018 22:08

Not sure if these count as totally unreasonable but...
Crumpets dripping with butter and honey then topped with a slice of mature cheddar.
Sweetcorn and cheese on toast.
Homemade apple chutney and cheese on toast.

SabineUndine · 27/11/2018 22:09

Heinz Sandwich Spread on white sliced. The food of the gods.

Oysterbabe · 27/11/2018 22:11

Pork pies.
Some kind of steak slice, hot with ketchup.
Another vote for green pot noodles.
Cheese and brown sauce sandwiches.

wannabestressfree · 27/11/2018 22:13

I love chicken pasta sandwiches 🥪 it is (as my mother would say) made from lips and arseholes but it's my go to comfort food.....

Shame on me.....

Itslookinglikeabeautifulday · 27/11/2018 22:16

Three-minute noodles with mayo. Yum

PhilomenaButterfly · 27/11/2018 22:18

Tink I buy fillet o fish and I think a lot of Muslims do as McDonald's isn't halal. But no, they never have them ready.

cricketmum84 · 27/11/2018 22:18

@VanellopeVonSchweetz99 with you on the TUC sandwich biscuits 🤦🏼‍♀️

Go buy a pack of cheese crackers and a tube of primula. That'll sort you right out!

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 27/11/2018 22:18

Donner kebab. Or if I have PMS, a cheeseburger with donner meat on top, salad, mayo/ tomato sauce.
DH loves a rollmop or beef paste sandwich.

Figmentofimagination · 27/11/2018 22:18

Crisp butties
Crisp and sandwich meat butties (usually beef slices or turkey slices).
Fish finger butties dipped into beans.

From uni days:
Pop tarts
Tinned stewing steak, smash and peas. Don't have it anymore since they changed smash years ago.

And my absolute favourite:
2 slices of white bread, cheese spread (must be laughing cow) a slice of plastic wrap cheese, and wotsits. Once the sandwich is made, dip into ketchup. Absolute heaven.

MammaSchwifty · 27/11/2018 22:20

From my student days:

Cheap as possible frozen chicken burger and two potato waffles, cooked together under the grill, cheddar cheese melted onto the chicken burger at the end, then stacked up with lots of ketchup as a sandwich with the waffles serving as the bread.

Optionally served with the cheapest instant noodles available (in Aldi in the early 2000s, 15p), none of this posh expensive supernoodles malarkey.
