redsummershoes · 25/11/2018 22:36

potatoes are small this year.
there was a draught, remember?

redsummershoes · 25/11/2018 22:37

on the plus side, they take less time to cook and fit perfectly with the cow carb trend...

BouleBaker · 25/11/2018 22:38

For a toddler? I think that is stretching the definition, yes.

cushioncovers · 25/11/2018 22:40

Shit, I'd need two of them.

MrsDylanBlue · 25/11/2018 22:42

What is wrong with it?

YANBU. It's a potato. It won't become a baked potato until you bake it.

DUFFDADDY1 · 25/11/2018 22:48

What is wrong with it?
Comon it’s only a baked potato in name Possibly a new potato

Xmasbaby11 · 25/11/2018 23:17

Baking potatoes are often shockingly small.

I'm quite greedy though!

Lovingbenidorm · 25/11/2018 23:21

I truly fail to see anything wrong with the size of that potato

WallisFrizz · 25/11/2018 23:24

What’s your problem with it? Size or the fact that it is not baked?

BetterEatCheese · 25/11/2018 23:47

Baking potatoes are just larger potatoes. Nothing special about them. If this is sold as baking, therefore expected to be large, and it is the same size as those in another bag labelled 'potatoes' then it's not what it's advertised to be.

However, I don't get why they make the two types look like completely different things

DUFFDADDY1 · 26/11/2018 05:39

Are baking potatoes just potatoes.
It’s like this joke
Family of potatoes mother and 3 daughters ( daddy was eaten)
Eldest daughter said I am going to get married. Mother said who to a good potato I pray.
Daughter said a prince red. Mother screamed with delight. Royalty I am so happy for you.
Middle daughter said she was marrying. I do pray that it’s to a good potato.
Yes mother it’s a King Edward. The mother potato nearly colapses . My daughter potato going to become queen.
A year goes by and the last daughter announced I am going to get married, the mother repeats again I pray it’s to a good potato.
She said it’s to Gary Lineker ?

O the mother said you can’t marry him!
He’s a commentator!!!GrinWink

Grin I get it.

Extra layer of humour in there given that GL was the face of Walker's (potato crisps!) for a while. But I may be overanalysing. HmmGrin

Buy a big bag of Maris pipers instead and keep the giant ones for baking. They make the best baked potatoes esp if you get the skin very wet and then put straight into a hot oven - trust me, it gives them super crunchy skin. Mmmm
