AIBU to question the validity of calling this potato a baked potato?
It was delivered by Sainsburys this morning.

Looks OK sizewise - how much does it weigh? I would expect about 200g. I suppose if you are online shopping, you could add a note about the size/weight expectations of your spud?

And yes, baking potatoes are just potatoes, although I would expect some varieties make better baked potatoes than others - maybe the floury ones rather than waxy ones?

Anyway, if the potato is small, you can justify more topping. I would go for tuna mayo, cheese, Longley Farm cottage cheese and butter.

This reminds of a an advisory note on tomatoes in Sainsburys when I lived in the UK: "Slicing tomatoes". No other suggestions, so I assume they tasted like shite but cut well.

OTOH, you do get signs in Melbourne saying "salsa tomatoes", which means you buy them in 10kilo crates and cook asap. Probably not for slicing :o

I was recently sent a leek around the size of a spring onion so I feel your pain.

I noticed yesterday that onions are very small at the moment too Why is that?

I read the advice (from MrsDylanBlue) as you shouldn't eat a potato larger than your first.
As in, when if you're having two, one must eat the largest first.

Wise words.
