Just made scrambled eggs on toast (two eggs, no milk) and they barely featured on the second piece of toast. Is three eggs too greedy?

I love scrabbled eggs , I would normally have 2 or 3 no milk or water just butter and black pepper on 2 rounds of toast .
I do not have them often as I HATE cleaning the bloody pan after

I do scabby eggs on toast for brunch for 2 adults and a teen, 6 large eggs does it fine. If just me, then 2 large are fine but 3 if only small or medium. It’s actually a fairly economical meal as our butcher does 6 large eggs for £1.25. Just add toast and butter, et voila

Shmithecat · 22/11/2018 18:38

2 or 3 large eggs, lots of butter. NO BLOODY MILK!!!! It's foul and makes scrambled egg wee, gets the toast soggy. I want crispy toast and creamy eggs, not wet toast and 'fluffy' eggs (wtf?Hmm)

blueluce85 · 22/11/2018 18:39

4 large, just butter, no milk!

CiscaRamon · 22/11/2018 18:43

Three large eggs, butter, little bit of cream, maybe some smoked salmon, two slices of toast, mug of tea. Put the pan into soak as soon as humanly possible once the eggs have been served.

Shock at scabby eggs Grin

I have mine with butter lots of black pepper, spinach and grated cheese. Yum!

I also love menemen which is Turkish spicy scrambled egg

blueskiesandforests · 22/11/2018 18:46

shearwater what's the point in eating them if they taste insipid and have a nasty texture though?

Witchofzog · 22/11/2018 18:46

Sorry , forgot the main point. I usually have 2 eggs per person

blueskiesandforests · 22/11/2018 18:47

I hope scabby eggs was a typo not somebody's name for them Envy (not envy)

Marmite27 · 22/11/2018 20:06

1 egg per piece of toast.

Can’t stand creamy (underdone), so a drop of milk for fluffy.

Ladymacmuff · 22/11/2018 20:12

Depends who is eating it and for what meal! If you have a massive and constantly ravenous teen boy I would even go up to 4! Last night he wanted scrambled eggs for dinner so I did 4 and put chorizo in it :) an acquired taste if you ask me but he ate it all!

I do agree 2 eggs on two bits of bread & nothing with it looks a bit meagre as a main meal - some may say portion control is not my forte.

3 eggs and 1tbsp of iced water and one of full fat cream makes the fluffiest scrambled eggs.

zingally · 23/11/2018 07:48

Generally 2 eggs per person, with just a little dash of milk.

LiquoricePickle · 23/11/2018 11:58

2 per person and one for the pan. Milk and butter.
