To ask how many eggs you use for scrambled eggs?

Just made scrambled eggs on toast (two eggs, no milk) and they barely featured on the second piece of toast. Is three eggs too greedy?

2, no milk.

christmaschristmaschristmas · 21/11/2018 14:45

2 eggs. And use butter.

blueskiesandforests · 21/11/2018 14:46

Definitely no milk, just butter.

My mother used to make them in the microwave with loads of milk Envy not envy! I thought I didn't like them until I was about 23 and had them as part of a brunch on holiday - totally different colour, texture and taste made properly in a pan with just butter, salt and pepper!

Purpleartichoke · 21/11/2018 14:48

3, occasionally 4 if I’m really hungry

I find I eat less over the course of the day and have more energy if I make sure my protein portions are large.

Oddsocksandmeatballs · 21/11/2018 14:50

2 eggs from my own chickens and no milk/water/butter, sometimes I get a double yolker but I am never sure if that counts as one egg or two!

longwayoff · 21/11/2018 14:51

Stop with the milk, please. Cream butter eggs.

22Giraffes · 21/11/2018 14:51

2 eggs with a splash of milk, lots of butter and salt! I'm hungry now....

beenandgoneandbackagain · 21/11/2018 14:54

3 eggs with a splosh of milk, a splash of water, a large knob of butter, and pepper.

I have been told I make the best scrambled eggs in the world by my appreciative audience.

Groovee · 21/11/2018 14:54

2 or 3 depending on how many I want.

AlexanderHamilton · 21/11/2018 14:55

I egg for 2 rounds of toast
2 eggs for 3 rounds of toast

MTBMummy · 21/11/2018 14:55

Always 2 per person and one for the pan.

Celebelly · 21/11/2018 14:56

I use two with toast but also add milk and butter. I've been known to have three, though, just for me.

FurryDogMother · 21/11/2018 14:57

3 eggs, no toast due to low carbing. No milk, lots of butter, and a tiny dash of Kikkoman's soy sauce on the advice of Anton Mosimann, many years ago - it makes a difference - also loads of white pepper. I like my scrambled eggs creamy (some would say undercooked), not fluffy.

PinkHeart5914 · 21/11/2018 14:59

3! Cooked in a knob of butter in a pan with plenty of black pepper

Cutesbabasmummy · 21/11/2018 15:02

We have 2 large eggs each including DS who is nearly 4.

Steamedbadger · 21/11/2018 15:02

Three eggs, no milk, salt and quite a lot of white pepper. Cook very slowly in butter, don't overcook. I think the problem is that quite a bit of egg always ends up smeared around the saucepan so if you only start off with two then there isn't enough left to put on the plate. 50/50 duck and chicken eggs makes sublime scrambled egg although I find all duck eggs is a bit too rich.

Honeyroar · 21/11/2018 15:04

Two eggs per person (but our hens lay lovely big eggs) with a splash of milk and a knob of butter. If I want to make really luxurious tasting eggs I add a splash of cream instead of milk.

howabout · 21/11/2018 15:04

2 per person with butter and grated cheese to finish - no milk

itsnowthewaitinggame · 21/11/2018 15:06

Breakfast would be one egg, little milk, little butter, one piece of toast
Lunch two eggs, little milk, little butter, two pieces toast

Limensoda · 21/11/2018 15:07

We had scrambled eggs on toast for lunch today. Six eggs with dash of milk.
DP had his on two pieces of toast, I had mine on one piece.

KittyLover91 · 21/11/2018 15:07

3 eggs per person and I second the grated cheese and no milk!

BloodyBing · 21/11/2018 15:08

3 eggs. And I always buy the large ones.

ChocolateTearDrops · 21/11/2018 15:09

2 eggs for 1 person but 3 eggs between 2. Seems like plenty of egg to us! Smile

Perfectpanda11 · 21/11/2018 15:11

2 large eggs usually per person. No milk, don't understand why milk is needed!

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 21/11/2018 15:11

3 eggs if it's my main meal of the day, 2 if not.

I am a recent convert to not putting any milk in. I always used to do it, but when I tried it without (though clearly with the mandatory generous knob of butter), they were so much better.
