To throw cat poo over my neighbour's fence?

I suspect I probably am but have had a few glasses of wine so here goes!

My neighbour's cat turds all over my garden and it's really pissing me off, especially as dd crawls around out there and will eat anything. So, DH stalks the cat, surmises that, because it spends an inordinate amount of time statistically on one particular neighbour's flat roof, it must belong to them.

So, I tipped a whole bucket of saved up cat poo (I mean, what else can you do with it - it surely isn't nice to put it in the black bin with your food waste?) over the fence, so it is now sat there in a rather suspicious looking mound. Some of the turds have gone mouldy. I expect my neighbours will see it in the morning. I have now had to throw the bucket away. Do you think they'll think it's me, or just a rather large cat? AIBU for being a cat poo thrower?

Very petty of you. Grow up. It's hardly their fault per se, is it?

Talk to your neighbour. Explain the problem. Ask them to pay for lion poo - it's known cat deterrent that you put around your garden.

babyblue2 · 20/06/2007 22:21

We have 3 bloody cats who come into our garden but wouldn't dream of throwing cat poo over the fence. DH says a shotgun would be much more efficient!

brave you are. you sure it's your neighbour's cat?

a cat used to do this once in a large flowerpot of mine so i put some cacti in it for a while.

cured the cat.

ViciousSquirrelSpotter · 20/06/2007 22:22

Hmm
It's a bit odd that you saved it all up. Throwing it bit by bit is not that bad (what else do you do with it?) but saving it up? Smelly, surely?

lulumama · 20/06/2007 22:22

oh how vile

what if it is not their cat????

there are things you can buy to keep cats off your garden

sorry, but YABU and childish

Sixofone · 20/06/2007 22:23

Is it OK for dd to eat lion poo instead then or isn't that just as bad? I've tried: water pistols, holly on the ground, lemony smelling sprinkly stuff, sonic repellents, pretend ceramic cats, all the legal stuff!

I think you need to start rumours that there is a lion in the neighbourhood.

kiskidee · 20/06/2007 22:23

get a gun then.

weebleswobble · 20/06/2007 22:23

Cuddle the cat...you know you want to

ViciousSquirrelSpotter · 20/06/2007 22:23

Do the sonic repellants not work then?

Do the phrases
"So, DH stalks the cat"
and
"I tipped a whole bucket of SAVED UP cat poo"
not indicate to you that perhaps you should both get out a bit more?

Sixofone · 20/06/2007 22:25

hehehe yes, but you know how it is when yo've got a 1 year old, it's not like we have sex or anything!

Oh and, I kept the bucket down the end of the garden, by the fence where said cat jumps over, hoping that the smell might act as a deterrent but sadly not

SomethingIncrediblyWitty · 20/06/2007 22:28

I'm sorry all you who do think it was unreasonable but the first thing that went thru my mind was...haaaaaaaaaaaahaahahahahahahahahahhahahaha! But i hope it really was their cat or that was REALLY nasty. They probably will know. It IS near your fence. A big Whoops on your behalf

Sixofone · 20/06/2007 22:28

It didn't actually smell that much, surprisingly!! Not that I actually went and deliberately smelt it. Now that would be pukeworthy, worse than smelling your own farts.

Might just pop into the garden to see if it's full of cat shit....

Sixofone · 20/06/2007 22:29

So what do you actually do with cat poo that doesn't belong to you? Any ideas?
