To throw cat poo over my neighbour's fence?

I suspect I probably am but have had a few glasses of wine so here goes!

My neighbour's cat turds all over my garden and it's really pissing me off, especially as dd crawls around out there and will eat anything. So, DH stalks the cat, surmises that, because it spends an inordinate amount of time statistically on one particular neighbour's flat roof, it must belong to them.

So, I tipped a whole bucket of saved up cat poo (I mean, what else can you do with it - it surely isn't nice to put it in the black bin with your food waste?) over the fence, so it is now sat there in a rather suspicious looking mound. Some of the turds have gone mouldy. I expect my neighbours will see it in the morning. I have now had to throw the bucket away. Do you think they'll think it's me, or just a rather large cat? AIBU for being a cat poo thrower?

I'm shocked - BB guns are dangerous - you could easily blind a cat by shooting plastic pellets at it

Cats are the reason all our songbirds are becoming rare. All cat owners should neuter their cats to get the population down a bit.

the cat who goes in our garden, or should I say went didn't bury it, since we got a scarer thing, its not been back, I know when the battery runs out, as a turd arrives next day

cats keep the rat population down so neutering all the cats will see the current increase in rats carry on. Song birds are disappearing cos we build roads, houses, everything, in places where greenery and trees used to be.

UCM I really hope you were joking. This is what happens when a cat is shot with a high powered rifle

Katiekin · 20/06/2007 23:05

I saw one go on to the school roof and come down with a baby bird out of the nest. then it went back four times until the nest was empty. how do you explain that to ds's who love the birds?

dogs are pack animals and if you let them roam, as they would prefer to do, they would form packs and well, roam.

cats destroy an inordinate amount of migrating birds. they are tired, hungry and almost oblivious to the presence of a stalking cat.

the doormouse, some fieldmice and voles are high on the protected species list in the UK and cats take those home as presents to their owners.

would rather see a domesticated animal controlled than watch the wildlife disappear.

weebleswobble · 20/06/2007 23:08

They're not killing for fun - they're following instinct.
