To throw cat poo over my neighbour's fence?

I suspect I probably am but have had a few glasses of wine so here goes!

My neighbour's cat turds all over my garden and it's really pissing me off, especially as dd crawls around out there and will eat anything. So, DH stalks the cat, surmises that, because it spends an inordinate amount of time statistically on one particular neighbour's flat roof, it must belong to them.

So, I tipped a whole bucket of saved up cat poo (I mean, what else can you do with it - it surely isn't nice to put it in the black bin with your food waste?) over the fence, so it is now sat there in a rather suspicious looking mound. Some of the turds have gone mouldy. I expect my neighbours will see it in the morning. I have now had to throw the bucket away. Do you think they'll think it's me, or just a rather large cat? AIBU for being a cat poo thrower?

I don't hate cats...lovely fluffy purring things! I hate their TURDS.

weebleswobble · 20/06/2007 22:44

if you get one of these you will be much happier about the whole situation

flibbertyjibbet · 20/06/2007 22:45

We have a cat, she poos in our yard, if she pooed in next doors yard then I suppose I would not be too upset if he threw it back over. But you don't know the cat is theirs!! And you saved up a whole bucket full and have created stinking cesspile on their garden!
So er, yes YABU!
We just pick up poo with old barbeque tongs kept especially for the purpose, each time we see a poop, and put it in wheelie bin.

I haven't killed any cats nor advocated any other cat-hating behaviour other than slinging a bit of poo about

its not about hating cats to me. i used to have a cat. i hate that so many cat owners think it is fine to let their animals shit all over the neighbourhood. keep them indoors and provide litter trays since they love them so much.

Aww weebles... cute!! I might have to do what my cousin has done with her puppy and train it to poo straight into a poo bag

God, glad you don't live near me!

couldn't you have gone round way before you reached this point and spoken to them about it (sorry if you have, haven't read whole thread!)

Sixofone · 20/06/2007 22:48

No dinny, I haven't. I would rather sling poo than have a face to face discussion. sorry

But what if it isn't their cat? What if they have seen your dh out with the cat and know it is always in your garden so they think the cat is yours? Will they retaliate and will the poo chucking escalate?

Sixofone · 20/06/2007 22:49

HOw do you know you don't live near me dinny? Checked your garden lately?

Thats a good point pigleto. What will I have to resort to poo-wise to win the turd tossing contest?

ha ha, wondered why I culd see steam rising in the garden....

no, sadly my old puss died earlie this year

not that he ever bothered going outside to crap.

pointydog · 20/06/2007 22:50

Do you ever see the cat in your garden, six?

If you do, get a water pistol and squirt it when you see it. Might just scare the cat off.

Tried that, and a hosepipe, but it is v clever and it KNOWS and runs away quicker than we can squirt. Cunning bastard.

No I regularly try to shoot strayers into our garden with a BB gun. (They are yellow plastic and from the distance that I go from, can't hurt, certainly couldn't penetrate a cats skin) I have tried it on me.

Our neighbour once complained about catshit and I offered to go pick it up, but was pg at the time and she said no.

However I am thinking of getting one of them lead pellet things........ with gas. Apparently you could actually shoot a person with them, and they would die. Well, if I find a straying cat or a geezer on my land I will shoot the fuckers.

pointydog · 20/06/2007 22:53

hmmmmm. Leave a crazy daisy on all day

pointydog · 20/06/2007 22:54

errr, UCM? You're sounding a bit crazed?!

Sixofone · 20/06/2007 22:54

Sorry UCM, but that's just scary...

dogs are wanderers by nature too but i don't see anyone advocating letting them roam free like cats are allowed.
