I've made my husband nduja, bacon and mushroom pasta sauce but I'm going to have toast for dinner. With marmite. Yay me

YABU not to have cheese on top of the marmite toast, but that's all!

I’ve never tried marmite, I don’t want to have to bin a whole jar in case we’re ‘haters’ what does it actually taste like?

John there's bound to be some wacky Doc out there who can do some sort of transplant to make your wife like marmite!

Marmite on toast is my go to food if I’m feeling grim. Nothing makes me feel better , faster .

Sadly DH can’t bear it , in fact even the smell of it causes him to have a visceral reaction , making him go white , then green , then throw up , then have a migraine. So I’ve only accidentally shoved it under his nose once in 20 years !

I love toast, marmite and lurpak dipped into a runny egg.

I’m just about to have peanut butter on toast for dinner so yes YABU. There is actually chicken and rice in the fridge but I can’t face that. Sometimes you need a toast dinner.

YANBU and as for Vegemite it tastes much more bitter than yummy marmite, which incidentaly I didn't start liking till I was 29

I wouldn't have bothered making dinner for DH if I wasn't going to eat it! I'd have added 'can't be bothered to make dinner. Have a freezer tea' before sticking 4 slices of bread in the toaster and putting my feet up

Marmite tastes of savoury saltiness. Can't explain properly but my mouth is literally watering at the thought of it! Smelling Lea & Perrin's has the same effect of unintended drooling.

I want Marmite toast now. I had my dinner earlier. WIBU to make some and call it a late supper? 😂
