How often do you wash your toddlers bedding if there is no accidents? So no bed wetting, food in bed etc

Be honest!

Once a fortnight with our bed. Does that make me minging??

LuckyAmy1986 · 15/11/2018 08:00

Same, once every two weeks. In an ideal world it would be once a week but too much faff!

Bobbiepin · 15/11/2018 08:05

I try to get bedding done once a week on clean sheet Tuesday but that doesn't always happen and it's more like once a fortnight.

MorningsEleven · 15/11/2018 08:07

Once a week. Oddly on a Tuesday too.

ogglet · 15/11/2018 08:09

Once a Week for DC, it's so small and easy only takes a Minute!

LuckyAmy1986 · 15/11/2018 09:24

Only takes a minute?! Oh do you have more than one set? I only have one each for them so has to be washed dried out back in same day.

LuckyAmy1986 · 15/11/2018 09:25

Probably should get another lol

mumofmunchkin · 15/11/2018 09:28

I aim for once a fortnight. In truth, normally when I think "I haven't changed their beds in a while".

Queenofthestress · 15/11/2018 09:30

Twice a week, they have two sets each, one to wash and one to use

Jackshouse · 15/11/2018 09:30

Once a week. I have three sets. Soon you will be going no nappy over night and for this an in case of sickness bugs you will need spares.

Pascha · 15/11/2018 09:31

Generally once a fortnight. Dh and the boys strip the beds on Sunday morning and I usually put clean stuff on before bedtime. They have accumulated 3 sets each so there's always a clean set ready to go.

Munchyseeds · 15/11/2018 09:31

Couldn't b doing with only one set of bedding...what do you do when sickness strikes??
Otherwise once a fortnight here

cricketmum84 · 15/11/2018 09:32

Once a week in summer, once a fortnight the rest of the time. sweatier sheets in summer plus it's so much easier to get it all washed and dried when you can hang it out on the line rather than trying to find indoor drying space for all the sheets!

NRPDad · 15/11/2018 09:33

Haha I appreciated the title of this thread.

What a twist.

ReflectionsofParadise · 15/11/2018 09:33

Once a week minimum. He sweats like god knows what.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 15/11/2018 09:34

Every wk

AE1234 · 15/11/2018 09:34

Every Sunday all year round.

ReflectionsofParadise · 15/11/2018 09:34

(We have 3 sets of duvet covers and 6 sheets)

IsabelleSE19 · 15/11/2018 09:36

Every Thursday the DC's bedding gets done - I have to have a specific regular day where I do it to combat my inherent slovenliness. Thanks for the reminder OP!

LewisMam · 15/11/2018 09:36

When I remember and have time. Usually when I change my own bed. I actually don’t remember the last time I changed my own duvet - I’m so exhausted that I barely stay on top of hoovering and cooking never mind anything else. Basically if it isn’t life threatening it doesn’t get done.

gamerchick · 15/11/2018 09:39

Probably should get another lol

That might be wise Grin, spare bedding ways comes in handy.
Loads of sales on ATM, perfect time to pick something cheaper than usual.

Once a week is fine, nothing like fresh bedding.

Nitpickpicnic · 15/11/2018 09:48

For me it was all about how I used the bed. I was pretty strict about ‘it’s only for sleeping’. No food in the bedroom, face/hands wiped before naps, no messy toys or messed clothes around the bed. Then I could afford to change the bedding every couple of weeks, unless it was very hot/sweaty weather or an accident.

I have a close friend who would be Hmm at this, thinking it should changed be far more often. But she washed her kid’s clothes far less, left them in bed while they were awake, changed nappies at half the rate I did. It wouldn’t have worked for her.

JustAskingForAFriend · 15/11/2018 09:49

Every two days for cot.
Ds once a week ( teen so does himself)
Dsd each time she stays
Ours twice a week generally. I do mid week. Dp does a Sunday.. Altho the bottom Sheet I often do every two days.. Because I sleep better with fresh sheets.. Weird I know lol.
As for sets of bedding.. Don't ask! It's a word obsession I have along with pj's. Prob in excess of 20 sets for ours. 4 for cot. 4 for Ds and 2 for dsd.

Lost5stone · 15/11/2018 09:49

Everyone in the house gets clean bedding on a Tuesday. 2 sets each so I can rotate. (Helpful when they throw up too!)

HidingFromMyKids · 15/11/2018 09:58

My DD's bed is a mid sleeper and at 30 weeks pregnant it's getting a bit tricky. I change it closer to 2 weeks unless there has been an accident. Every where else is every Sunday.
