How often do you wash your toddlers bedding if there is no accidents? So no bed wetting, food in bed etc

Be honest!

I'd aim for once a fortnight but he will probably have pished through his PJs in that time TBF

liquidrevolution · 15/11/2018 10:04

Once a fortnight here. Change over the day the cleaner comes. I try doing it more but we just end up out of sync. Dd baths every night though so bed fairly clean.

OrangeOrBlackcurrant · 15/11/2018 10:07

5 beds here so every 5 days. I just alternate and someones sheets are washed every day eg day 1 me, day 2 ds1, day 3 dd, day 4 ds2 and day 5 ds3 then back to me.
Don't actually know why I still do this. Think it was from when I was depressed and needed routine and order in my life. Actually laughing at myself for doing it Grin I can't do all sheets on the same day though (nowhere to dry them) so maybe need to find a new routine

IndigoHen · 15/11/2018 10:07

Once every six weeks.

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 15/11/2018 10:07

How do you manage with only one set? Especially for children's beds. They have a tendency to get wee or sick on their sheets during the night from time to time.

partypooper40 · 15/11/2018 10:07

the cleaner changes once a week on a friday. Unless they have been pukey obvs (cries at 3 lots of changes last night)

Rachelover40 · 15/11/2018 10:08

You are doing fine. Once a week or once a fortnight is good enough if no stains.

MaryDollNesbitt · 15/11/2018 10:09

If the weather holds and I'm able to line dry, all bedding gets changed once a week without fail. It gets much harder to dry things as quickly in the winter though, so I'll grudgingly stretch to 2 weeks in the colder months. That being said, I have just discovered a new laundry service in town that offers to dry up to 18KGS of washing for £2, so I suspect I'll be putting that to good use this winter to get everything over and above our standard white and dark clothes washes sorted!

bibizizi · 15/11/2018 10:11

Every Sunday if I can, my Mum used to do this without fail and I used to love the feeling of getting in a clean bed before going back to school.

BigusBumus · 15/11/2018 10:15

I am a minger and sleep in my own sheets for 2 weeks! With small chidren with no leaks or accidents then about 2 weeks or more as well.

LuckyAmy1986 · 15/11/2018 10:23

Mine are 4 and 5 now neither ever wet the bed and we only had one sick incident in bed which luckily went over the side of the bed. So I guess I have been very lucky. However I will get some more sets as it will make changing them much easier.

DevonshireCreamTea · 15/11/2018 10:24

Once a week it takes about 2 minutes it's only a single. I do it when he is picking out his bed time stories

MoaningSickness · 15/11/2018 10:25

Fortnightly. DH does sheets one week and towels the next, but we also obviously change the bed if there is ever sick/wee etc. (Very rarely atm with a toddler still in nappies). Always washed before bed, and Pjs worn (changed every couple of days) so not in direct contact with the sheets.

PollyPelargonium52 · 15/11/2018 10:33

I used to know somebody who used to wash her bedding once a season. She said she liked her smell! You wouldn't know by talking to her though as she always seemed perfectly clean and hygienic.

Horsewithnomane · 15/11/2018 10:42

I love getting into a bed that has clean sheets after having a bath and then doing filth.

What is it about Tuesdays tho'...?

Is it to do with Monday being washday?

MrsTommyBanks · 15/11/2018 10:43

Every Sunday.

Badtasteflump · 15/11/2018 10:50

Is it bad that I don't know? Blush

Not saying I don't do it on a regular (ish) basis, just that it's probably not fortnightly - just when I think of it...

I wouldn't ever let them get stinky though, or stained

Scotinoz · 15/11/2018 10:55

All beds get changed fortnightly, on a Tuesday too (is this a thing?), in my house.

I honestly couldn't cope with the volume of washing to do them weekly 😬 Towels I do change twice a week though.

LettuceP · 15/11/2018 10:56

I change all bedding once a fortnight but more often in the summer. We all bath/shower in the evenings and beds are just for sleeping. I do have to change the baby's sheet/sleeping bag all the time though because of sick and the odd nappy leakage.

pinkcardi · 15/11/2018 10:56

Fortnight

NamedyChangedy · 15/11/2018 10:57

Every Tuesday for everyone here too - although DC2 has eczema so his get changed much more often if he's having a flare-up, as he scratches and ends up with flakes of skin on his sheets! But thankfully they're rare these days. And we're past the accident stage too.

It helps having a large capacity washing machine so everything can be washed and dried in a day, even if I'm at work all day.

It's Tuesdays for us because I loosely follow the Organised Mum method and she advocates 'Clean Sheet Tuesdays' - not sure if there's any logic behind Tuesdays specifically, could be any regular day really.

Howhot · 15/11/2018 10:59

Every 1-2 weeks. Closer to weekly over the summer as it's so easy and quick to get dry.

UnalliterativeGeorge · 15/11/2018 11:01

We aim for every fortnight but DH works nights which scuppers my organisation as then there's nearly always somebody in the bed/asleep upstairs so it gets a bit lax till he's off nights again and I change them so they're lovely and clean on his last night on for me to starfish in!

PlinkPlink · 15/11/2018 11:04

Every week for clean sheet Tuesday. I have 3 spare sheets in the linen cupboard so it's easy to strip it and then stick on a new one 😊

The heated air drier has saved my sanity for winter. No more sheets drying for a whole freaking week 😂

Yerroblemom1923 · 15/11/2018 11:07

Probably about every 2 wks. Depends on weather. I need a dry windy day so I can peg it out.
