And invite you to join me?
What are you brilliant at, nothing is too trivial.
What can you do exceptionally well?

I make very good gravy! Don't know why because my cooking isn't good but my gravy and sauces always come out well Confused

MissLadyM · 19/11/2018 19:38

I can do the splits, cryptic crosswords and speak 6 languages fluently ( and am pretty good in 3 others)

Scallywag1903 · 19/11/2018 19:41

I can instantly spot why a garment doesn't fit someone properly and how to correct it, can see without measuring the exact amount a hem on a full length dress needs shortening and make a garment tailored to fit. However, is this due to experience - I have done near on three thousand fittings! ( luxury, couture garments).
Can make people feel at ease very quickly
Same with roast potatoes
Can change my dreams - only when they become a nightmare or horrible ( no 'Bradley Cooper' shenanigans feature - shame)

Suomynona · 19/11/2018 19:44

I have (and always have had) an unusual ability to speak / spell words and whole sentences backwards, lightening fast. (I do it permanently in my head, never stops).

Scallywag1903 · 19/11/2018 19:46

weemadarthur I recently came face to face with a bear in Canada ON MY OWN and I can honestly say I wasn't very 'zen' about it. Couldn't stop shaking for hours. Scariest experience of my life! ( I think??)

Wallywobbles · 19/11/2018 19:47

I find solutions to really complicated problems in my sleep. On the other hand my sleep quality is pretty bollocks.

AnotherOriginalUsername · 19/11/2018 19:51

Keeping calm in a crisis. To the point I'm sure that my adrenal glands are broken. I've done all sorts of cool stuff (sky dive, London marathon etc.) and am regularly involved with suicide negotiations, all with zero anticipatory build up and zero adrenaline rush afterwards.

I also have a good knack for recalling names and numbers and things. I regularly get asked at work "who was that patient with X condition" and can instantly recall it. Similar recall with phone numbers and car registrations and things. Will recognise clients car/registration/face and have their record up and items ready before they've even walked through the door.

Tried to use my skills to join the police but the didn't want me 😭

Tunnocks34 · 19/11/2018 19:51

I’ve got a really high IQ, in terms of academia there’s is nothing I haven’t easily excelled in, ever since primary school.

Tunnocks34 · 19/11/2018 19:51

My above grammar/spelling is due to typing whilst putting a toddler to sleep!

Madamswearsalot · 19/11/2018 19:54

I have a really good singing voice and can harmonise easily.

My next one is a bit odd, and obviously I don't have a fully randomised test group to prove my working theory, but I am very accurate at predicting the size of a man's penis. I've been pretty much correct for every man I've slept with. From large to small. It's not a hand, foot or nose thing, just an instinct or premonition after spending a short amount of time with a chap (and his chap!!)

It is of no use really, and I've never told anyone IRL but as we're boasting, there you have it.

fullerhouse · 19/11/2018 19:57

I have great intuition, someone can tell me a lie and I’ll just think I bet this is what really happened always turns out I’m right. Strange really.

Also can put my hand to most things, knitting, crochet, ripped out my kitchen and installed the new one. Built a fake chimney breast with the tv hidden, decking etc. Not really a skill but handy to me as there is no man here to help. One thing I can’t do is draw absolutely useless at it 😂.

fullerhouse · 19/11/2018 19:59

Not hidden built in

toxic44 · 19/11/2018 20:00

I embroider exquisitely and I can stare people down without scowling at them.

cheval · 19/11/2018 20:06

Parallel parking. I’m a ninja at getting a huge car in a tiny space. Why didn’t this make me rich??!!

OvO · 19/11/2018 20:08

Cross stitch.

I’m disabled so many things are just impossible for me (including tying my own shoes! 😂) but my hands work fine so I took up cross stitching and I love it. Keeps my hands too busy to shove biscuits in my face. Bonus!

Arbies22220 · 19/11/2018 20:15

I make an excellent victoria sponge cake.

I am incredibly jealous of some of these talents. Esp remembering names and faces. I work in an industry dominated by middle aged white men and genuinely struggle to tell them all apart!!

Nearly47 · 19/11/2018 20:21

Finding way to get things done, solving problems. Foreseeing all possible issues and finding solutions like playing chess. The only issue is that I can get a tad obsessive until I reach my objective. Blush

LookingThroughTheLookingGlass · 19/11/2018 20:30

I can speak reallly fast and still be crisp and clear- at uni we had to do loads of timed presentations and I always included too much so the last minute I would whizzzzz through and every time I got a round of applause!

I over empathise... way too much. To the point that other people’s worries can wake me at night even if it’s like a stressed mum trying to juggle collapsing a push chair to get on the bus when it’s busy.
And don’t get me started on animals... I honestly cannot understand how anyone could ever want to eat or hurt an animal. I mean I actually have to use CBT just to get through a meal if someone is eating any kind of flesh. Even driving past an animal rescue makes me burst into tears thinking about all the animals that need a family. FYI we have lotssssss of pets.

I make good scones too... and jam!

I have no sense of smell- a fantastic superpower when working with kids!!!

Sarcelle · 19/11/2018 20:33

I have got a really good memory for faces (but not their names).

I am superb at word games. Also I am always on the winning side in quizzes.

I can usually spot a wrong 'un.

I am excellent at being tenacious. I never give up. Especially if I have been wronged.

(I can't swim, ride a bike, blow my nose, keep my big mouth shut, blow up a balloon, throw a dart, jump over a hurdle.)

dawnacorns · 19/11/2018 20:36

I'm enjoying this thread so much, thank you for starting it OP. I think we should all big ourselves up more often. Flowers
Amazing cross stitch Ovo Smile

OvO · 19/11/2018 20:37

Thanks, dawn! 😊

Busybusybust · 19/11/2018 20:51

I make the best bread sauce in the world!
I’m very good at making tiny (dolls house sized) food from Fimo.
Quite a good mother - brought up 4 kids on my own (widow) and they are gorgeous adults who love their mummy!

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 19/11/2018 20:57

PookieDo · 19/11/2018 21:01

I have very good memory recall. Usually for conversations/people/things that have happened. At work I would probably be able to remember most of what happened in a meeting in detail without many notes, and who said what.
Sadly not so much during maths GCSE when I was 16 Angry

DuploRelatedInjury · 19/11/2018 21:05

I have a very detailed memory when it comes to recalling books I've read. Even if I read them years ago. It does sometimes make it hard to enjoy film adaptations...
