To still be cross at Jeremy Corbin's anorak

It's 11 hours after the event, but at the cenotaph amongst all of the black coats stood Jeremy Corbin in a blue anorak with hood flapping, is this really the best he could do?

Ha ha ha in your dreams love. The tories are fookin terrified. Why else do we have 20 fucking pages about a perfectly serviceable coat? Pathetic. Petty. Shallow. And shitting it.

He will only get near power 'in your dreams love'

You are assuming posters are Tories. There are plenty of posters and voters who are usually Labour voters that won't vote Labour whilst he is in charge.

Can't believe this thread is now 21 pages long (& I know I've contributed), all about NOTHING.

Jeremy Corbyn looked fine. People who think otherwise - please stop nitpicking!

wafflyversatile · 13/11/2018 00:32

Push poor people further into poverty. Leave ex soldiers on the street with ptsd all you like as long as you wear an expensive black coat and poppy it's all just dandy with the OP.

Fatasfook · 13/11/2018 00:37

Unintelligent criticism which shows the op up for being a total eejit

llangennith · 13/11/2018 00:57

Remembrance Day is about honouring the fallen and showing respect for them. Does anyone seriously think Corbin knows the meaning of the word respect?

wafflyversatile · 13/11/2018 01:18

It's the rest of them that have no respect.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/11/2018 07:00

A variety show? Don't be ridiculous. Were they trying to entertain you when they interviewed the parents who'd lost their only child, the first woman soldier to die in Afghanistan? Or the medic who lost both his legs?

They wreaking capital out of people's pain.

It was NOT a service, just because there was an Archbishop in it.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 13/11/2018 07:07

I have no idea what autocorrect was thinking when it changed my post to "wreaking"

It should have been "making"

longwayoff · 13/11/2018 07:15

What? It's bloody TUESDAY! Give it up people while you're still reasonably sane.

Limensoda · 13/11/2018 07:19

He is a dangerous communist

Yeah, he's so dangerous Grin FFS, The propaganda machine has impressed you!
Enlighten us as to just how he is dangerous? Then explain how Theresa May & co are not?

Unfinishedkitchen · 13/11/2018 07:29

What were you wearing and doing on Sunday OP? I hope you were in black and didn’t smile or laugh once all day. I also hope you wore a mega poppy to show how much you care.

MuttleyLaugh · 13/11/2018 07:34

I’m not a Corbyn fan (mainly because of his determination to push us into Brexit). But on this issue I’ll reserve my anger for politicians who see fit to lay wreaths allegedly remembering the horrors of war while clearly not giving a fuck about the horrors of war today since they’re very happy to license arms sales worth billions so the Saudis can slaughter men, women and children in Yemen. Wearing a raincoat? Meh.

Limensoda · 13/11/2018 07:38

Does anyone seriously think Corbin knows the meaning of the word respect?

He probably shows more respect than you and many of his critics do.
He fights for the veterans who have been left homeless and those with mental illness because of PTSD. Standing at the cenotaph in a smart coat doesn't make you respectful, its what you do every day. Of course that doesn't matter to people who are all coat and no knickers.

wafflyversatile · 13/11/2018 08:22

I’m not a Corbyn fan (mainly because of his determination to push us into Brexit

That's Teresa May

KissingInTheRain · 13/11/2018 08:36

Her first name is spelt Theresa. I hope you weren’t one of those attacking the OP for spelling Corbyn’s name wrong.

As for poverty and homelessness, I think we can be sure there’d be a lot more of that in the unlikely event of the bearded fool becoming Prime Minister. He’d bankrupt the nation within two years.

Viva Maduro! Viva Corbyn! Viva destitution and poverty!

Worriedandanxiousmama · 13/11/2018 08:37

wafflyversatile they’re both as bad as each other on that score.

purits · 13/11/2018 08:49

Firstbornunicorn I agree that that picture of TM at HMS Bulwark in 2015 is bad. It looks like the event was sprung on her and she had to go in whatever she was wearing! The only thing I can think of is that the blue was meant to be some nod towards naval colours.

wafflyversatile · 13/11/2018 08:56

Except it's the Tory money saving austerity policies that end up costing more to the country as well as the people they target.

Jeeves93 · 13/11/2018 09:33

I really dislike Corbyn and take part in poppy selling and Remembrance events every year, and yet I find it hard to have a problem with what he wore.

AlvinStardustsTrousers · 13/11/2018 10:04

I find him terrifying. The prospect of him as PM sends shudders down my spine.

It's like having a BBC forum on here; everyone supports Labour and is incredibly biased.

Love MN but when it comes to being Left Wing it's crazy. They will shoot anyone down who disagrees with them.

BorisBogtrotter · 13/11/2018 10:11

"It's like having a BBC forum on here; everyone supports Labour and is incredibly biased."

Yet a huge number of people have criticised Corbyn for wearing a coat.

The bleating about bias here is ridiculous.

As is the complaining about the coat. First it was the poppy ( he wore won), then it was the colour ( but Cameron and Major wore blue too), then it was that it was "scruffy".

Anything he did would have been criticised.

Care to elucidate with reference to specifics why Corbyn as PM sends shudders down your back?

BertrandRussell · 13/11/2018 10:18

"Love MN but when it comes to being Left Wing it's crazy. They will shoot anyone down who disagrees with them."

I do wonder about this sort of post-particularly as this thread has been more anti corbyn than pro-even among the left wingers! How does the "shooting down" happen?

longwayoff · 13/11/2018 10:22

Please don't elucidate Alvin, pop off and settle down with the Daily Mail if there's too much reality on here for you to deal with. And there's always Fox news if bbc not to your taste.

Doubletrouble99 · 13/11/2018 10:47

Interesting how many people are moaning about the thread going on and on and saying how he was fine to wear what he did, you are the ones continuing the thread!!!!!
