I personally don’t see anything wrong with bragging about your achievements, whether they be academic (graduation) or materialistic (luxury car after saving for 3 years).

In fact, I love reading that and it inspires me. Hopefully it would inspire others too or allow them to live vicariously through you.

If you are bothered by bragging, please read no further.

SO, everyone is invited to my bragfest where they can brag about that new promotion, that designer handbag or that dream holiday. No judgements here, just celebrations for your achievement !

I wrapped some presents today.

Possibly not on the same scale as some of you. Also I threw away some stuff when (hoarder) DH wasn't looking.

FekkoThePenguin · 11/11/2018 19:01

I've just eaten a curly wurly and it was lovely.

Pearofwisdom · 11/11/2018 19:03

I had a really awesome birth. Walked in with no fuss, got on bed, pushed baby out in 2 contractions. Even had a joke with midwife and laughed while crowning. I know that most of it was luck but there are hard bits of labour that a woman has to overcome and should be allowed to be proud of.

Aprilsinparis · 11/11/2018 19:04

No,... no Fuzzycustard be proud of what you have achieved, you have done really well, but thank you. It really is bloody hard, however much you lose it's better than putting it on.

cheesymashandbeans · 11/11/2018 19:04

I've had 5 holidays this years and have booked a big one for early next year... because I can!

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 11/11/2018 19:07

I made a gravy today which was so delicious you could've quaffed it from a tea cup.

The crackling on my roast pork was outstanding.

And to top it off my Queen of Puddings was fluffy, ooozing with homemade jam and blackberries and with an absolutely heavenly light meringue topping, golden brown finish and glistening with a sugary sparkle

Apologies to those on diets.....

planechocolate · 11/11/2018 19:09

I started a brand new hobby just over 2 years ago, and I really like it. Some people have been doing this hobby for decades, so I was dead chuffed to win a first in the county show recently Smile

EmmaGeddon · 11/11/2018 19:09

My 4 adult children make me proud every day. They were adorable infants, terrible tantrumming toddlers, cute primary schoolers, sullen sulky teenagers, and now look at them! I look back now and wonder how we coped with 4 under 5 but hey, we did it.

Athena51 · 11/11/2018 19:09

I created and developed a new method for something (can't say bit outing) which is being used across the whole of England and a consequence got an exceptional rating in my performance review.

Nearthebig40 · 11/11/2018 19:12

I came from a poor upbringing, worked bloody hard ... lots of hours, lots of training, pushed for promotions and had a 10 year plan which I’ve just achieved that allowed me to pay my mortgage off. Yeah I’m proud

theonetowalkinthesun · 11/11/2018 19:14

I tidied and cleaned my whole flat so nicely today, it looks brilliant! I get smug every time I see how gleaming the floors look!

I did yoga out of CHOICE on my (newly cleared and cleaned floor)!

I rang my parents today!

I feel way more in control of my life than I used to, and feel like I could even give tips when a month ago I was the one asking for tips!

My hair looks great today!

I cooked a delicious dinner!

I have been so organised in the past few days!

krustykittens · 11/11/2018 19:16

I started writing again this week (published author with writing block due to a nervous breakdown). I might have written total shit, but I am WRITING and hopefully will be back earning money from fiction again soon.

krustykittens · 11/11/2018 19:18

And my kids are pretty amazing too but then every crow thinks their's is the blackest! Wink

NoDancingPolicy · 11/11/2018 19:20

My son drove his car into my new car last night. Thousands of pounds worth of damage. And I have refrained from 1) crying in front of him 2) throttling him.
I must deserve some sort of award for fabulous parenting.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 11/11/2018 19:22

I came from very little in terms of money and nurturing, I have worked my bloody socks of and now I have my dream job, dream home, dream family (DARN lovely boy and girl).
I'm healthy and look good under all the extra weight, which I am successfully losing. I am a survivor of major depression.
I have good friends.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 11/11/2018 19:24

P.S. OP I like this thread!

MissingDietCoke · 11/11/2018 19:24

I'm loving this thread. Mentioning ones achievements is socially taboo so it's nice to say them out loud sometimes and lovely to hear everyone else's.

I have two lovely kind DCs who are flying at school. I'm very good at my job and I've just submitted all my assignments for chartered status which I've worked very hard on. As I get older I like myself more and more - I'm a good person with a lot to offer.

Bragfest · 11/11/2018 19:25

Wow wow. This is so great to read. I’ve just gone and made myself a 5 year plan !

Congratulations to everyone and Thankyou for sharing. You should be proud of yourselves !

I got out of a job that was breaking me with the stress. I have more free time, more money ( new job is less stressful and better paid).

My house is clean and tidy every day for the first time in years.

I am happier than I can remember being for such a long time.

mokapot · 11/11/2018 19:30

I had a poo after being constipated for days....
God that feeling of losing 20 pounds in a dump

HurrahMoaningMyrtle · 11/11/2018 19:30

sportycustard congratulations! I bet you worked bloody hard for it

OublietteBravo · 11/11/2018 19:32

I got a pay rise, and I now earn a 6-figure salary.

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 11/11/2018 19:32

I bet @mokapot worked hard for it too!

😂😂😂😂

Toadsrevisited · 11/11/2018 19:33

I've got an interview this week for my dream job

PippaRabbit · 11/11/2018 19:33

We bought our first new Motorhome yesterday and plan to tour Europe in it for 8 weeks next summer (depending on the dog passports after Brexit).
