To think my hair extensions don't look great?

Just had these done today
I spent £480 and I'm just not sure.
What do you think?
Would you know they were extensions ?

Difficult to tell from the photo but I'd know you had a crappy/choppy hair cut.

Catmum26 · 10/11/2018 21:48

it’s almost impossible to tell just from that picture of the ends however they don’t look ‘ratty’ like a lot of cheap hair extensions do.

Datedandold · 10/11/2018 21:49

If you could show a photo from the back- that’s where it’s telling.

VladmirsPoutine · 10/11/2018 21:50

The picture doesn't reveal enough to say but on balance they do look quite heavy, blunt and uneven.

If you're unhappy with the outcome then go back and have it sorted as you shelled out close to £500 for the pleasure to have them!

BuffaloCauliflower · 10/11/2018 21:50

It’s not possibly to tell much from this picture. Also would be helpful to see how your hair looked before.
That’s a lot of money for that length though.

BruceAndNosh · 10/11/2018 21:50

Is any of the length yours?
It looks like it needs a cut or at the very least, a brush!

PerryPerryThePlatypus · 10/11/2018 21:51

Were they cut and styled?

ButDoYouAvocado · 10/11/2018 21:52

It does look like it needs a tidy along the bottom I'd say.

chocolatecoveredraisons · 10/11/2018 21:52

No they are shockingly bad for that amount. They don't look straight or healthy at all

Candlelights2345 · 10/11/2018 21:53

I’m afraid I’ve seen much better, softer models re natural extensions for a lot less money than that. They look very rough, how do they feel to you?

Orchidflower1 · 10/11/2018 21:53

As pp said it’s hard to tell from the picture but it’s a very blunt cut- did you ask for that?

salbally · 10/11/2018 21:53

I'm unable to take a back pic ...here is a close up,they just seem dry.
My natural hair is the same length

OP posts:
Candlelights2345 · 10/11/2018 21:54

Not models, should say more natural

DippyDiplodocus · 10/11/2018 21:59

If it's any help, I had extensions in mine and spent about the same, this is what mine looked like... mine are the micro ring ones.

Hazardswan · 10/11/2018 22:02

Think it needs a better cut or blending with your natural hair. Not the worse extensions I've seen by a long shot.

salbally · 10/11/2018 22:06

Those extensions look lovely

OP posts:
rafffy · 10/11/2018 22:10

is the pic of them freshly done? as in you havent washed or styled them yourself yet?

if so then once theyve been washed and blowdried a few times they will look better and more blended and natural. extensions do need time to settle.

however the cut looks like it could be neated up. go back and ask them.

EnglishRose13 · 10/11/2018 22:12

Looks a little bit like someone has taken kitchen scissors to a Barbie doll.

loveskaka · 10/11/2018 22:12

They look a bit stiff, if u get what I mean. Like your hair all moves at the same time and doesn't flow x

DerelictWreck · 10/11/2018 22:12

They're completely different colours from your normal hair? A different brown and some blonde? Is that on purpose?

Cherries101 · 10/11/2018 22:13

Okay so I’m assuming you’re white and have silky or smooth hair (so not curly or porous); if not then please ignore! Most real hair extensions, cheap or expensive come from Asian women. e.g. I’m Indian and my natural hair post straightening looks like your photo. The glossy / shiny / coloured extensions for white women are usually only available from India or Pakistan or Afghanistan en masse. That’s why hair extensions sourced from India tend to cost more than those sourced from East Asia / China for example. Try a local Indian beauty salon and ask them about the brands they use.

To look after your existing hair extensions you already have go to this link www.everafterguide.net/hair-extensions-for-white-girl.html

AtrociousCircumstance · 10/11/2018 22:13

They look pretty bad. Sorry OP.

LittleBitNuts · 10/11/2018 22:14

Wow I spent £295 on mine and they looked amazing and got compliments every time I left the house.

I'm sorry but yours are not acceptable and I would go back to whoever put them in (or their manager if you can) and request a review.

ThatOneHurt · 10/11/2018 22:16

Oh man. They look really bad quality.

If that was someone's real hair I would be suggesting particular hair masks to try and get some moisture back into it.

But nearly £500 for that? That's not good at all.

salbally · 10/11/2018 22:19

Yeah they meant to be different colours.
It's meant to look like balayage
