To think my hair extensions don't look great?

Just had these done today
I spent £480 and I'm just not sure.
What do you think?
Would you know they were extensions ?

My mind is blown at the idea of spending £500 on hair.

Misses point

salbally · 10/11/2018 22:21

Il post a pic of my natural hair
Regretting this now

Beaverhausen · 10/11/2018 22:24

I would ask for my.money back.

Lesson no.1 never have expensive procedures like this done by anybody else other than a reputable supplier.

AtrociousCircumstance · 10/11/2018 22:25

Ask for all the money way back. They cannot stand by that low standard of work.

RTFT · 10/11/2018 22:25

That's not balyage op, I'd be going back and demanding they put it right or refund you. They look like something you could buy in Claire's

salbally · 10/11/2018 22:25

This was before extensions so obviously my hair was a lot finer and thin.

That doesn't look very balayage.

I can't see the other photo.
Is it possible the take a photo of all of your head from the side so we can see it better?

How does your hair feel?

How long are these extensions supposed to last?

blackchina · 10/11/2018 22:30

WOW £500? That's awful. They don't look great sorry.

I would demand a refund.

salbally · 10/11/2018 22:30

They meant to last a year with proper maintenance.
They feel dry
I think I might need a good conditioner

OP posts:
ThatOneHurt · 10/11/2018 22:34

A year, ok that makes the price more understandable.

Nonetheless, if you have them in for a year you want them to look good. And at the beginning at the very least.

I would contact them and see what they say.

Snipples · 10/11/2018 22:36

Your hair was loads nicer before. Did you get them in for thickness? You do def need the ends cut better. I'm not sure a conditioner etc will fix the overall look tbh. Sorry

user1473878824 · 10/11/2018 22:37

For a year I get the price but the cut doesn’t look brilliant and they do look very dull and dry - sorry OP, I know that’s not what you want to hear, but for that much money I think they should look much better. Sorry 😬

redrhubarb · 10/11/2018 22:40

They do look very dry. Why not pop back to the hairdresser and ask for some advice.

thereallochnessmonster · 10/11/2018 23:04

Why can I only see one pic??

ThatOneHurt · 10/11/2018 23:15

Same. I think it happens when the OP uses the MN app.
So if we were on here using the app, we'd be able to see it too.

I think.

sossages · 10/11/2018 23:16

For what it's worth I had that kind of length and dryness chopped off my hair today, it cost me £30 and I'm thrilled with the results. I am shit at hair, but I do think that if you spent £480 you should feel amazing, not be posting on the internet to ask if it looks ok. Make them sort it out for you!

user1473878824 · 10/11/2018 23:36

Totally agree with @sossages!

salbally · 11/11/2018 08:13

Thanks everyone I'm going back on Monday because I'm really not happy with them.

OP posts:
Orchidflower1 · 11/11/2018 11:44

I think that’s best op- let us know how you get on .

Orchidflower1 · 12/11/2018 21:16

Did you go back op?

SpringerWoes · 12/11/2018 21:18

They really don't look like £500 extensions!

More like £30 market DIY jobbies

RavenLG · 12/11/2018 21:20

They look like my £50 cheap clip ins after being worn for months because I’m a tramp and have no shame I hope your hairdresser sorted them today

JaggyJumper · 12/11/2018 21:25

Have you washed them yet? They don’t look good but I know when I first got mine it they didn’t feel like they blended with my hair. Once I washed them it was like they softened and blended in and I got so many comments that they were the most natural people had seen.

Didsomeonesaybunny · 12/11/2018 21:27

Sorry OP no, they don’t look great. I think you need to go back to the person who put them in.

Eatmycheese · 12/11/2018 21:42

@salbally they look really brittle and uneven.
I would return and seek redress
