Daily Fail story here
21 babies! That's some achievement. I cannot believe her body is still in one piece. I feel sorry for those kids though. There's absolutely no way they can all have the individual attention they need growing up. Four kids maybe, perhaps 6 at an absolute push but 21 seems like collecting trophies for a hobby to me. It'd be interesting to see what families those children decide to have when the time comes. It seems like she's putting her own want for babies ahead of her existing children's wellbeing & that isn't healthy. I'm curious that she's practically guaranteed herself an endless supply of babies as her children have children. But they're supposedly paying for everything themselves so we're not allowed to say anything against them. I don't agree with it. Tell me I'm being U.

WATCH there vlogs on YT!! She never has a child there always holding/playing with each other.

Fallingout · 10/11/2018 12:09

@DonDrapersOldFashioned it’s basically a child getting pregnant at the end of yr 8 by a young adult in yr 12. I have a child in yr 8 and 1 in yr 12, first year colleges the difference is HUGE.

Miscible · 10/11/2018 12:09

JellyBears, they don't pay for their children themselves: they claim child benefit and tax credits.

Miscible · 10/11/2018 12:10

I don’t understand why everyone is so concerned for their welfare, I’m more worried for those children whose parents are addicts or suffer sexual abuse.

Neglect can have just as serious effects on children.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 10/11/2018 12:11

I've watched a few of them namechange all I can see is a thoroughly self absorbed woman who lives for the attention.

Avegemitesandwich · 10/11/2018 12:11

They cannot have given those kids the attention they needed. Homework, clubs, just doing nice things, the kids would have missed out on doing those things with their parents on a regular basis. It would be physically impossible. It's not fair.

Also I think a 17 year old boy getting a 13 year old girl pregnant is fairly vile, especially if it's then spun as a 'childhood sweethearts' thing.

Roussette · 10/11/2018 12:17

Blimey. I just looked at one of their Vlogs on youtube. Sue is very child like isn't she...
It was the baby reveal and she kept asking each child 'are you excited' .. they obviously have to be, whether they like it or not! One thing that was noticeable, anyone of them old or big enough to carry a child was doing just that.

PawneeParksDept · 10/11/2018 12:22

It's not remotely an achievement and the conditions her children live under border on neglect. I have no idea why they are newsworthy except in a "look at these irresponsible idiots, why hasn't anything been done to end this cycle" sense

Miscible · 10/11/2018 12:24

Those 21 kids who are such a "drain on the system" will grow up to be 21 taxpayers who contribute to it.

How do you make that out? The oldest daughter already has three children and isn't working.

nottakingthisanymore · 10/11/2018 12:26

I don’t think people realise what an amazing deal we get in this country. Ante natal care, delivery, post natal care, free eye tests and dental treatment for children. Free gp appointments and free prescriptions. Full time free education from age 4, child benefit, tax credits. They have cost the country far, far more than they have paid in. So talk of him working so it’s ok....

namechange1781 · 10/11/2018 12:27

People make me laugh when they say ' why does it concern you, they pay for there kids themselves' yes they don't pay for school, GP, prescriptions, dentist!!! Her NHS bill for giving birth must be 100K+

mydogisthebest · 10/11/2018 12:31

Chocolateheaven, of course they would not have had so many if they had to pay for the cost of the births, schooling etc. How many people would have over 2 though if they had to pay?

The house may have 10 bedrooms but they don't appear to use them all. Why were so many sleeping dormitory style?

Birdie6 · 10/11/2018 12:32

I heard that her uterus is paper thin

No more true than suggesting that a woman's vagina is very loose because of having sex a lot. The uterus is capable of having many babies without becoming " thin" . Let's stick to the facts, instead of repeating silly myths.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 10/11/2018 12:32

I a world of finite resources, I find it incredibly selfish to have umpteen children.

And in practical terms, parents can't give each child the time s/he needs. As a community SaLT I worked with large families with 8 - 16 children. The older daughters were often kept of school to look after the babies when mum was tired (hardly surprising that she was); the younger children had a higher-than-average incidence of speech and language difficulties because they were stuck in front of the TV and no-one had an actual conversation with them.

I'm not saying this happens in all big families, but there has to be give somewhere. No parent, no matter how loving and nurturing has the time or energy to devote to so many eager little enquiring minds and energetic little bodies.

Lekky12 · 10/11/2018 12:38

I can't believe how many negative comments are here. Who gives a flying duck how many kids they have. I bet they are all loved and nurtured massively just like my 2 boys are. Get over yourselves the bloody lot of you.

CandyCreeper · 10/11/2018 12:41

I get judged for having 4 so ofcourse people will judge 21 children.

Roussette · 10/11/2018 12:42

Lekky I would love to know how 2 adults (one at work) can massively love and nurture 21 children. And I say 21 because I have adult children and they still need their Mum (me) quite often sometimes. It is physically and mentally impossible to provide 21 children with all they need.

dontalltalkatonce · 10/11/2018 12:42

And I can't belief how many ignorant sycophants are on here applauding a couple who consistently drain the system by constant reproducing and a man who got a 13-year-old pregnant. That's mind blowing. And yes, the one daughter's already sat at home reproducing so they're hardly setting the world on fire with their taxpaying skills. Oh, well, there's now a two-child limit on the ol' tax credits (excepting rape or a multiple second pregnancy).

Roussette · 10/11/2018 12:43

Also to compare 2 boys with 21 children is ummmm... no comparison, putting it politely.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 10/11/2018 12:43

I bet they are all loved and nurtured massively just like my 2 boys are

You or I can't know that for sure. It is impossible to give that many children the emotional and practical care they deserve and need no matter what you say.

lenlo · 10/11/2018 12:44

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

From an evolutionary anthropological perspective, it is postulated that fertility rates in post-demographic countries have fallen due to the fact that investing in the quality (opposed to quantity) of offspring is advantageous in a highly competitive environment.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 10/11/2018 12:48

Lekky don't be so bloody naive.
21 children 'nurtured '.... my arse.

mcmooberry · 10/11/2018 12:50

Can't and won't watch this programme, the only reason these families "work" is the childcare provided by the older children.

MarshaBradyo · 10/11/2018 12:53

I don’t know who they are but it makes me feel a bit ill
Anyway we should think about the planet more 21 children is nuts

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 10/11/2018 12:53

I have no doubt that my mum would have continued having children for every second that she was able to; if she was still alive.

She neglected and abused the rest of us, when we weren't babies anymore. She didn't want kids, she wanted babies. The only duty of the rest of us was to look after the other younger kids; when she was finished with them.

Maybe this family isn't like that. Maybe the people on this thread saying they love being pregnant and having a baby wouldn't either. Maybe they would; even with the best of intentions - perhaps not to the same level, perhaps unintentionally, but something has to give if your life is devoted to newborns.

I find babies very easy. Much easier than over 5s; if I'm honest. I went into childcare for a few years for that reason; I loved my baby and toddler siblings and nannied the same age group. This scares me about myself.

I am uncomfortable with the Radfords for that reason. I suspect to fulfil her urges; her children may be suffering. I can't celebrate that; but I wish them all well.
