Honestly?

I like to have a takeaway once a week but want to cut this back to save money/lose weight.

Every month or so now. Went through a phase of having almost one a week. Such a waste of money! It's nicer to go out for a romantic dinner instead :)

I live alone and would maybe order a takeaway on average a couple of times a month. I eat out sometimes if it's something social, but out of choice I'd only really want to eat out maybe 3 times a year?

It surprises me how much young people eat out and order in. I've come across a few who don't ever eat food they've prepared at home, they live on takeaways or go to restaurants. It must be costing them a lot and from what I know, they're not people with so much money they can afford to throw it around.

Take away about every other month. If I can’t be bothered to cook I’d rather have a frozen meal, like Charlie Binghams. Always shocked how expensive Dominoes and the like is.
Eating out for dinner about once a month but we do like a big brekkie out at the weekend.

Hardly ever as I am single, and am more likely to just treat myself to some fancy ready meal or something. If I had a family I would make it a treat every few weeks. I occasionally order a takeaway when I have friends over.

I find the opposite - that just 2 of us actually becomes cheaper to get sushi - i've tried making it quite successfully but you sill spend about £4 on two fresh bits of fish, 2 on the seaweed wrap, and then 2 on the special rice - we have the rice wine vinegar in the cupboard - but added to the time and effort to "home make" it - appx 30mins or a little more, I'd rather pay £30 for the 2 of us and get 3 types of fish, a noodle dish and pudding thrown in with no washing up!

Takeaway once a week, plus eat out 2-4 times a week.

Purpleartichoke · 10/11/2018 00:25

Once or twice a day. We rarely cook anything at home.

Never for takeaways but eat out about 3 tines a month

SealSong · 10/11/2018 00:47

Eat out usually every week with friends, but not expensive places. Takeaway only occasionally.

SealSong · 10/11/2018 00:53

Should add that there are plenty of places local to me where you can eat out healthily and inexpensively, which is why I do so often.
