Ear Hustle - made and produced inside an American prison is amazing. An insight into a crazy world and really well made

The allusionist - as others have said, so good

Wrongful conviction with Jason Flom - really powerful listening and I donate to the innocence project as a result!

Casefile

Serial - the latest series is a return to form

Bracknellite · 07/11/2018 18:42

Some of my favourites that havent been mentioned -

Beautiful anonymous (people ring in and talk to the host about anything at all for an hour - it’s so good! You hear so many amazing/funny/horrific life stories and some really inspirational people)

The modern Mann - a magazine style show hosted by Olly Mann who also hosts Answer Me This.(which is another winner!)

The Dream - all about the history and ridiculousness of MLMs!

Heavyweight - all about people with unanswered questions from their past. The host helps them investigate and find answers. Just discovered this one and really like it!

Oobis · 07/11/2018 19:16

It's an oldie, but I really enjoyed In The Psychiatrists Chair, especially the Spike Milligan episode. Really interesting stuff

tiggerkid · 07/11/2018 19:17

Have never really listened to podcasts but you, ladies, got me tempted. Will be checking them out!

BruceAndNosh · 07/11/2018 19:32

Podcasts are brilliant for passing the time while doing boring stuff.

commuting on public transport, exercising, waiting for kids to get out of school, housework

Fortunately with Fi & Jane is my favourite but most of the bbc output is good, though In Our Time is particularly useful for bouts of insomnia!

HoraceWimple · 07/11/2018 20:12

Has no one mentioned Adam Buxton? I love his ramble chats. The most recent episode was with Tash Demetriou and was hilarious

TheCag · 07/11/2018 20:17

Walking the dog - Emily Dean (who is part of Frank Skinner's radio show. I don't listen to that as I can't stand him but it might mean something to some people) wanders around with a dog or two while chatting to someone you have heard of. So very simple but I enjoy listening while I go for a walk myself

The Guilty Feminist

Radio 4 stuff generally, but mostly Friday Night Comedy
Dan Snows History Hit
