Question I asked was do you really genuinely care about me?

Was there something specific that made you ask?

But is it unreasonable to ask when I don't know? He says the right things but I sometimes get the vibe that he doesn't

Or like he acts different to me if I care about someone for example showing concern, making effort and making them feel special

Or maybe just some people are different and not everyone shows it like that but I thought in a relationship you should feel cared for

I’m not sure asking him gives you any more information than you had before.

Don’t ask questions like that. Really - just don’t. It’s needy and whiny and if you need to ask then you won’t like the answer. And as for the answer it seems somewhat ambivalent to me. I don’t think he feels the same as you do. Sorry.

If you are having to post screen shots like this to ask if your partner cares about you it doesn't sound like a very healthy relationship sorry OP.

It's not a question we could possibly answer.

Do you really think he’d say no, even if he meant it?

Go by his actions, not his words.

Is this a romantic partner? Actions speak louder than words but "you know love ya" isn't exactly the picture of enthusiasm.

Well what do I do then? Relationships are so hard :(

What do I do? If I try and talk to him about it he'll flip out and I'll be made to feel like I'm unreasonable and mean and crazy and he'll start messaging me loads of sad faces and all the time

Sounds like a pretty unbalanced relationship to me.
Why are you needling at him about his feelings for you? Clearly it’s annoying him - that and he sounds like a bit of a dick.

OP if he makes you feel like this, get out now. You'll never feel good with him.

I’m afraid if someone texted me that question I would think they were terribly needy and rather emotionally immature.

Sorry OP.

It’s a useless question anyway, particularly when done by text.

In a relationship OP words don’t matter. Actions matter.

It doesn’t matter if he tells you that he cares for you if his behaviour shows that he doesn’t.

If you want to discuss problems in you relationship do it face to face

This just isn’t very grown-up. How old are you both?
The question you asked is needy and annoying and now you say that your bf’s response to your requests for reassurance would be “messaging me loads of sad faces”.
My 18 yr old dd has more mature conversations with her bf than this.
I think the real question is does your boyfriend treat you well. Does he actually give you reason to doubt that he cares for you? Or does this come from within you? Do you always need attention & reassurance?

As soon as I do that I'll feel like it was the wrong decision and absolutely awful and then he'll message me in like a week or two and persuade me to go back because I'm lonely and there isn't anyone else and I'm not dating again no way

I know there's another post and I don't want to get flamed because I wasn't strong enough to just end it and I was an idiot and forgave him..

For those who don't know he was rough with me during sex the other day and he didn't seem to care that he hurt my neck he said sorry but wasn't overly concerned or didn't seem it

That's why I asked the question but I know I'm an idiot
