I know some people can't help it, I get that.

BUT I've just seen a photo on FB of a Mum & daughter and someone has comment 'so pressures' - I am assuming they mean precious!!

Any other classics you've seen?

People who say are instead of our...drives me nuts!

Mathew.

The correct spelling has two Ts after the A, to reflect the pronunciation.

We have a Matthew. I get the right arse if it’s spelt with one T,
I’ve seen MAFYEW before. I think my DH was close to having a stroke.

My peeve is weary when someone means wary. "I got bitten by a dog so now I'm weary of them". NO, you are not exhausted by dogs due to the bite, you are nervous around them!!

Our local Honda garage is offering reparations for 'curbed' wheels.

It's a big fancy proper sign. Not a chalkboard. It must have been through a few approvals, yet not one person has twigged.

And my favourite... The local pub to me years ago, 'excepted no responsibility' for any thefts in the car park.

I should have staged a theft.

Rest bite, instead of respite.

I should be banned from these topics. If I had a penny for every 'transgression' I came across... Fortunately, I'm old now and can live with the madness of others Grin

It doesn't grind my gears the way is used to. I just feel sad for people who think Chester Draws are a thing.

It* oh dear lord. Let the man without sin cast the first stone and all that.

And don't get me started on the whole gender identification thing. I'm a toaster. A red, shiny one. Confused

Discusting/disgusting
Collage/college
Defiantly/definitely

And my personal biggest spelling peeve: angles instead angels. As in “R.I.P Nan your* sleeping with the angles now”

*your instead you’re for added effect.

Those poor people. Teach your kids every day if you have the chance.

Don't be the parent of the kid who can't distinguish between to, two and too. And when to comma.

There was a thread the other week about learning to drive in a manual car or an automatic and about 80% of UK posters kept referring to their license. I was having palpitations

Bought/brought
Excepted/accepted
Too/to

The list goes on.

I cringe every time I read the FB group classic phrase “delete if not aloud” Angry

Skellington instead of skeleton.

My child dressed up as a skellington for Halloween (inserts picture of said child)

OMFG I saw it a lot over social media obviously for Halloween and one of them that posted is a teacher 🤦🏻‍♀️

I could understand if the child was dressed as Jack Skellington but they weren’t. They were a normal skeleton.

I looked back at my Facebook memories the other day and accidentally wrote constellation prize instead of consolation prize.
I was mortified and even though it was 7 years old I edited it immediately!

Not quite the same thing, but I hate quirky spellings for shops especially using K instead of Q or C
Krazy Kuts
Kwik Katering
and the Kardashian spelling of Khloe and Kris
