I know some people can't help it, I get that.

BUT I've just seen a photo on FB of a Mum & daughter and someone has comment 'so pressures' - I am assuming they mean precious!!

Any other classics you've seen?

DEFINATELY

ConciseandNice · 02/11/2018 23:55

Using the verb ‘lay down’ in the place of ‘lie down’. It does my fucking nut in.

PippaRabbit · 02/11/2018 23:56

Draws. It's drawers!

KeepServingTheDrinks · 02/11/2018 23:56

I don't want to be judgemental, because I know about how our devices auto-correct.
But on the parking threads when they write about parking on the "curb"
I have to fight myself not to correct them.

And I LOVE parking threads!

Sweetheart1313 · 02/11/2018 23:57

One of my friends always writes 'Am' instead of 'I am' or 'I'm'. Like 'Am going to the shop'.

It annoys the shit out of me.

Babyroobs · 02/11/2018 23:59

aloud instead of allowed.

wildewillow · 02/11/2018 23:59

I've just seen Yore instead of You're/You are on a thread on MN!

'Yore not being ridiculous'

Babyroobs · 03/11/2018 00:01

I work in benefits advice and it also infuriates me when people say they are claiming careers allowance instead of carers allowance.

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 03/11/2018 00:01

I saw perquelier the other day..

hungryhippo90 · 03/11/2018 00:02

“To” instead of “too”

siakcaci · 03/11/2018 00:02

Rediculous instead of ridiculous drives me mad

inmyshoos · 03/11/2018 00:06

Youse.... makes my eyes bleed...

Seriously??!! You know who youse are Grin

justgivemethepinot · 03/11/2018 00:10

Loose instead of lose is a constant bugbear for me but the latest one is discrete instead of discreet. Totally different meaning!

LostontheWestway · 03/11/2018 00:12

When people write women when they mean woman.

Also: Stag/hen doo wtf is the extra O doing?

toherdoor · 03/11/2018 00:15

Councillor instead of counsellor. See it on mn all the time.

When people write 'I seen'.

HankyPanky04 · 03/11/2018 00:18

I seen the name 'Jessykah' on my news feed today

Bumbl · 03/11/2018 00:18

I saw someone put ‘retro bates’ instead of reprobates on Facebook, that made me laugh

BowTieBaby · 03/11/2018 00:20

I was sat

AngryAngryAngryAngry

HildaZelda · 03/11/2018 00:22

Of instead of have. Jesus wept! Angry
Also, 'went' instead of 'gone'.
Spotted on fb recently, Oh I would of went to that if I would of known it was on"

Almost had me in tears. Tears of frustration.

MrsBobBlackadder · 03/11/2018 00:25

'Devine' instead of divine

No. Just no.

shoopshoopshoop · 03/11/2018 00:25

There seem to be a lot of people on MN who are phased by difficult situations, as opposed to fazed...

Also 'myself' when 'me' would do perfectly well (i.e. - be correct). Argh.

Gibble1 · 03/11/2018 00:28

Someone I used to know on Facebook used to complain a lot about a caugh 😬

dustarr73 · 03/11/2018 00:30

Oh I would of went to that if I would of known it was on"

Thats what i say,im in Dublin. Its colloquialism here

Pemba · 03/11/2018 00:32

'Been,' when it should be 'being.' Usually as in:

'Been as it was half-term, we took the DCs to Thorpe Park'

Or something similar to that.

Pieceofpurplesky · 03/11/2018 00:34

@bellanotte22 there is a shop near me called 'Swop Shop'

In the lab at work there is a stationary cupboard. As yet they haven't twigged why every time I walk by I ask if it has moved or not!
